Looking into getting a stiffer set up for the front of mt 800T. New front springs come into mind first. Any ideas? size? Stiffness? It feels to soft now that it is broke in. gp

I am thinking about putting HD Polaris springs on the front of my X2. Part number 2876153 they are only 53 bucks if I remember correct. I also have TM-2 adjusters I like them but you can get Polaris adjusters for a lot less. I don't know the number but there is a thread here somewhere. EPI is also a good choice but cost a bunch more.

A word of caution. EPI sells them by the spring, so double the price you see for a pair. I wasn't sure if the HD EPIs fit or not, but if they do, it's a great improvement on a sportsman. It has a nice soft ride, but firmer than the stock springs.

I haven't even ridden my 800T and I know the front springs are too soft for my riding style. I had the EPI heavy duty on my 04 500 but put my 1" spacer back in to get the ride where I liked it so I guess I like the front stiff. I'll probably start with the 1" spacer and go from there...

tcihla79 let us know when you get the MV7 springs on the T and how they ride. That combo sounds interesting....

Afternoon Quad daddy
I have a pair of them , I tried em and took em out. They didn't seem to do nothin for me/mine. They just slip in between the springs.

I just put Polaris HD springs on my new 08 Sportman 800. Traded 06 in on Friday which had these springs. Took them out and just put on new machine. Handling is much better, no diving in corners. Measured beforehand, went from 11.5" clearance to 13.5". Breese has them for $50 pair plus shipping on ebay. Don't believe they are progressive as EPI's though.

Same here, I put the Polaris HD's on and I'm really happy with the way they handle. Lifted my front end up, the tires now look straight rather than /\. Ride seems fine to me, I've heard some say they are too stiff, but I slapped them on my wifes too and she didn't complain.

Well seeing how easy it is to get at the front springs with the front storage box off I decided to try the 1" spacer under the stock springs to see how that was. It defiantly took the negative camber / \ away. I'm going to get out for a ride today...

Well went for a quick after supper run to see how it felt. It's incredible how it picked up the front of the bike and stiffened up the front end, not to the point where it is harsh, but stiffer. I like the ride the way it is so now I'm wondering if the Polaris Heavy duty would be too stiff for my likeing??
