Hey all, has anyone ever ran sea foam thru their quad? Does it work? How much should I use if I try it?

Thanks,
Tewfiddy

I use it. I add an oz. to each gallon of gas. It does a good job keeping the fuel stabilized.

I had some crud build up in the intake of my Bomb, sprayed it in direct, worked great. Lot of black smoke came out, so it cleaned something. Also, like UTU in all the small motor stuff i use 2X a year.

We use it in AZ because machines over 5 years old and "street legal" have to get an emissions check.

I quick carb adjust and some Sea Foam and they go right through.

Great thanks all. I was told to run it thru mine to keep it cleaned out and was wondering. Sounds like it works good. One ouncs per gallon will clean it out?

Thanks,
Tewfiddy

Seafoam also has a great product called Bugs Be-Gone. I use it on my teeth.

Now I can get there the fastest faster.

Depends on what you're attempting to "clean out". Residue from old gas (gas breakdown) or help dissipate water? Yes, but could take some time to do so. But it won't dissolve dirt and other contaminants in the tank or fuel system.

It runs good even after the big crash it fired right up. Just looking for some preventative maintenance and had never heard of it. They need to make wipes cause I needed them after that last one...lol Thanks all.

Would someone please elaborate a bit on sea foam. I've never heard of it, but it sounds like I need to start using it in my polaris, motorcycle, lawnmower and generator.

Dr. J, Thanks for the information. I'll check it out. If this group uses it I think I at least need to check it out.
