I just bought a set of polaris tires and spoked aluminum rims that came off an 800. When I went to install them the lug nuts only threaded on the stud 3 turns. Is this ok or do I need to replace the studs with longer ones? I guess the wheel hubs for the aluminum spoked wheels have longer studs. If I have to install longer studs can I just press the old ones out? Thanks for any help!

What bike are you putting these rims on? Only 3 turns sound like an accident waiting to happen I would definatly get longer studs. I have never replaced studs on a Polaris but on a Honda I just beat the old ones out with a hammer.

DO NOT drive your quad with the short studs and aluminum wheels. Either install the steel wheels back or wait until you can order the correct studs.

There going on an '05 SP700 that had steel wheels. Can the old studs be removed without removing the wheel hubs? And does Polaris sell just the studs? Thanks.

Yeah, you just drive them out and install the new ones. You want the studs for alumninum wheels and they are avialable from Polaris as part no. 7518378 for both front and rear.
