Hello,
I have heard that the stabilizer bar can be removed from the 800 Sportsman for more height with no issues to the rest of the bike and its performance.

I would like to get some opinions.

PLMK,
Wes

I doubt that. There are anti-sway bar disconnect kits so you can get more articulation or travel out of the rear suspension. They are used for extreme rock crawling and low speed technical riding where you need as much suspension travel as possible.
If you leave it disconnected the suspension will have a tendency to roll very easily through turns. Something I don't think you want for everyday riding.

I agree with the above. Did run for awhile with it disconnected but you have a lot of body roll. It really only helps in slow rocky/rough terrain. Will keep the bike much more level. Here is a link to make a quick disconnect courtesy of ATVNation

hey guys ive had my sway bar taken out for about 6 months i really dont see that big of a differents i gues its pretty mutch rider prefference. i really dont see that much more body roll. you do get alot more rear suspension articulation. if you dont beleive me try riding behind a sportsman with one hooked up and behind one with out. you will be amazed at the difference. but like i said RIDER PREFFERENCE
