I'll say the same thing I always said about the Bomb...power is expensive.

And they're all greedy money sucking pigs... Smile

A friend told me that I couldn't take it with me where I am going so I might as well spend it. He says I probably still have the first nickle from that first job and he is right. Starting to have that mid-life crisis and maybe the new Popo needs to find a place in my garage, but I have will pwoer and will hold off for now.

The link shows the EPS model which is what Polaris said the price would cost. The $10,000 model looks like a special edition model.

I have to admit I find it funny that when the CanAm was released at about the same MSRP....I can't count the number of Polaris owners that were spouting off about the high price. Now that it's Polaris...eh...no big deal, no comments. Brand loyalty is alive and well. Smile

I was trying to be sarcastic, as a Dealer I am interested in what the market will do. If at first this model will only sell for MSRP or will Polaris dealers, used to chopping their price to "compete", chop the price.

With the RZRs when we were getting one a month we actually charged msrp plus set up, Much like the surrounding dealers, (We have never done this Nor do we plan to keep doing that) but now that we are sitting on 8 RZRs we have adjusted our pricing accordingly. However another local dealer we heard is still charging MSRP and set up.
As of right now I have my first two 850 w/eps sold at list.

I paid $9300 for my 800 Night Camo special Ed. last October. Yes, gettin' quite expensive compared to what you can get in a Jeep.
I almost bought a 1942 CJ2 Ford-Willy's before buying my last quad. I could have bought it for $3800 and put another $6500 into it and get a rig damn near the size of a Razor, but with a registration and license plate so the damn US Forest Service can't kick me out of the Foerst like they are doing.
I love the ATV's so I got another one instead of the Jeep. I am going to try and register my ATV in a state that allows ATV's to be registered and ride it on California. I just don't get how having a license plate makes the ATV safer. I'm referring to the damn USFS Route Desigantion Program. Sorry, just venting and getting off topic.

I'm seriously considering trading/selling my '08 800HO and getting the first '09 550 Popo in my neighborhood.

i agree with ATVer, going down to the 550 would be a big change, but if you don't need the HP, the 550 would probably be much better on fuel

I, personally, think the power is wasted with the type of riding we do. A good friend has a 500 SP and he does everything just as well as out big bores. The only thing missing is top end. I really don't think I'd miss it much.
