first you need to fill out your profile so we can see what machine you have, a carb model or an efi model...

almost always when you snorkel and put an 800 header on a 700, it will be lean, if you have a carb model, go richer on your main jet, you may also have to adjust needle position (install a dynojet kit to make it easy or possible) and maybe air mixture settings..

I've read your post 3 times and I still don't understand what you did or if it stopped when you did something.

What's the lowe's snorkel kit?

Lowes snorkle kit. LOL I think he means he put a home made snorkle kit on with plastic pipe he got from Lowes. Lean or rich pull a plug and look. If you just did the 800 snorkle and exhaust I'd say lean, but with the Lowes kit ???????????

700twin , Just something to compare to , but when I first got my 02 700 I experimented with taking lid or snorkle off air box and the same problem , I couldnt go over 25mph w/out terrible bogging ,so I left everything stock for 5 yrs. untill now where Im running a 40mm carb but I would say your lean

I'd be willing to bet you tore your carb adapter. I'd check that first. This is the rubber intake between the carb and cylinder head.

He has EFI. I told him to take the header down and look inside for a indication of if it is running lean or rich cuz they can feel similar.
Also like quad daddy said a spark plug also would show these signs but I think the exhaust will provide better insite to the actual micture. It should very obvious.

Ok when you say air intake, I think you are trying to say you changed the snorkel off the air box, is this correct? I was thinking intake manifold when you said Intake.

Do you have a Dobeck or Power Commander? Odds are you are running rather lean. With the efi you would need a new "box" to add more fuel.

Grayish white would seem to be normal. It's possible they were that way before your snorkel install and they haven't cleaned up yet. If you bog occurs with the home-made snorkel and if fine otherwise, I have to believe your piping isn't large enough to move adequate volumes of air when you goose it.

Champions are the standard plug. I use NGKs as replacements.

You might want to check for codes. It's possible it's caused by something gone awry with your EFI.
