Hi all!
I thought I would question the experts here about a problem my friend is having with his Sportsman 450.
Recently the machine was used on a very hot Nevada day and the machine overheated. The gauge flahsed "hot" and the clear plastic tank started bubbling/spewing. The machine was being driven in a wash at slower speeds. Not much wind was moving through the radiator. The fan did not come on. I shut the machine off and when I turned the switch back on, the fan came on. The fan, however, will not come on when the machine is running and moving. Or so it seems.
Just a faulty temp sensor? Key switch? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Key on the quad has the same power everywhere running or not. Are you sure it doesn't work now? It could have had a rock or something stuck in the blade then when you turned it off and on again it fell out or you might just have a loose connection somewhere.

Quad Daddy,
Thanks for the reply!
You could be correct, since the posting, the machine has been checked out pretty well. All wires and electrical connections have been checked. It has been used since without problems. Although, not in 102 deg. temps, in sand. I guess we will have to run it and see. We just don't need this drama again in the backcountry.

Thanks again.

Thanks,
