You may check your relays. I am having same problem on a 08 800. I can here a relay kicking out, and if I unplug my heat sensor the fan will surge instead of running constant. The relay that is doing this on mine is best located by, following the wires from the right headlight(siting on bike) back towards the steering column. the relay is taped to the outside of the main wire harness. It is silver in color about 1/2" wide 1" long. This is one of three relays on my bike, the other two are located under the pod behind removeable cover. they are identicle relays side by side, from the front of the bike the one on your left works the fan also. Just a thought if you have tried everything else, hope this helps.

ride em or sell em
