Any word on what Honda has up their sleeves for 09? My buddy is a diehard Rincon man and wants more power.

My husband and I ride 05 Honda Rincons. Today, I called the dealer where we purchased ours to see if the 09 Rincon might have EPS and they said Honda hasn't let them know yet. The dealer said they should know about October/November right before the 09's arrive. It sounds like they keep the dealers in the dark until the last minute.

It is a very dependable and comfortable machine and we haven't had any problems. My Honda has 2,193 miles on it. Only thing we've done is change oil and filters. Did change the tires to BigHorns - which was a great thing. We have 1200 miles on the BigHorns and they still look great.

Little birdie said Honda didn't change anything on the Rincons. Same 680cc engine and they did not even add the eps as many predicted they would. There was a lot of rumors this year reguarding changes to this model. Looks like they are slight or cosmetic only.

Thats not to say Honda doesn't have a bigger model brewing. I don't care what they say sooner or later Honda will have to increase in size to stay with the competition. It has to happen.

TRX420 is EFI, so where are the "big boys"??

Honda will let us know when they are ready to tell, and not before. What usually in Sept??

Everything else is just a guess.

I want a Rubicob with efi and irs. Do you suppose it will ever happen or will have to change my thoughts????????

I have high hopes for the Rincon in 2009. Since the Big Red SxS is due out in '09, and its supposed to have diff lock, I think diff lock will make it to the Rincon as well. And if the same engine and trans will be used on the Big Red, they would have to gear it down a little to handle the extra weight. So it would only make sense to have the same gear reduction for the Rincon.

If they make these changes to the Rincon, I'll trade my 800 in on one.

Yeah, I'd like to see the rincon with a low gear.. It would be a good bike IMO....

My machine has over 2200 carefree and fun miles - never a problem, just change the oil & filters & go. Very comfortable ride even over the rocky trails we have in Colorado.

WoW! we have somehere done over 20,000 miles

Over 20K miles - wow and I thought I had a lot of miles for a 2005 Rincon. I plan to put lots more miles on it. Still have lots of riding to do yet this year before winter hits.

Will watch to see what Honda does for the Rincon in 2009. We should know soon.

I heard mid Sept, and they are going to have a live feed from the show...Just what I heard/read, of course it was on the net so you know it is true.

jsc - thanks for the tip on the live feed on the 09 Rincons. We'll be watching for it.

I have been told dealers will be shown the 09 models Friday the 5th. And also something new will be announced.......................

WE will be able to log in tomorrow at noon for a live feed from california......i will post what i see on here .....

well so far they are talking about the new 420at. it has eps irs and 5speed auto with esp

I heard all they changed on the Rincon was Blue plastic LOL!!!!!
