Hello,

I need recommendations for new front shocks for my sons 2004 Honda TRX250EX. He is currently 17, and weighs approximately 150 pounds. So far browsing the web, I have only fond shocks/complete front suspension upgrades that are in the $400 - $1500 price range. He does not ride professionally, just around the farm, but, he does take small jumps. When he lands, the front shocks are bottoming out. I need some recommendations for inexpensive new shocks that will work for his current weight as well as for maybe two more years of growth. Thanks to all for the help!

Happy riding!

Chip

You may have a hard time finding inexpensive shocks.

You might be able to find new springs to install on the shocks??

New shocks for my Rincon are pricey also,
Works shocks or Elkas are close to the $1,000 range.

You might be able to find some shocks from another manufacturer like Suzuki or Yamaha, which are the same length and mounting configuration and might have adjustable spring rates for a reasonable price??
It will take some research on your part to find out if anything else will fit.

Might try getting ahold of tm2. They might have progressers to fit. My brother-inlaw has a set on his rancher, when turned up all the way, make the front end stiff for plowing, but it's too stiff for summer riding without the plow, he has it turned back to stock. There is an middle setting which might work for your son.
