You need to PM Cob on this. I'm sure since he's looking for a new 2008 ATV that he may jump on one of these! NOT!

I think Honda is totally out of touch with the off road market over here now.

I know they will always have supporters but I have never seen so many people say they were leaving or heading to Can Am etc.. after the recent announcements. A lot of folks are leaving Honda.

Pains me to say any thing nice about HONDU especially when JSC is listening. But that is really a neat site well put together. Have my reservations on the machines, the side by side looks better here than the other pics I seen of it. What tickled me was that it has a belt drive, HMMMM maybe them awesome trannys weren't all that after all. Shrug

JSC just trying rattle your cage. Shrug Glad see them come out with a SXS for the die hard HONDU fans. I to think that HONDU has lost many ride RED or DIE guys over the last few years to other brands. They just don't offer what the other manufactors have to offer.

I agree, when I went to that web site and saw a 700 sport quad, I was like holy cow !! It will be interesting to see how it does. It looks like it weighs as much as my KFX700.

YEA RIGHT Shrug ROFL

My GOOF it said AUTOMATIC and I took that to be a CVT tranny. I love it when I get to rattle JSC cage, just got to excited. Shrug Should have known they wouldn't come out of the dark ages after only 10 years of suking hind TEAT in TECHNOLOGY. ROFL I feel better now, I was afraid that HONDU was finially moving up in the world, should have known better. Shrug

When they came out with the RUBBY in WHAT 01 I think. TXDOC bought one along with many other ppl. But we thought then that they may have changed the way ATV,s would be driven, but 7 years later and still they are only one to stick with that type of tranny and they don't use it on all machines. Hard to beat a belt.

All kidding aside the bad part about HONDU is their dragging their feet with TECHNOLOGY that would make them competitive with rest of manufactures. Many die hard HONDU fans are jumping ship because for same amount of money or less, they can get a machine that performs better rides better is bigger and badder plus all the BELLS and Whistles.

You all ways seen POLARIS mentioned along side HONDU with the other manufactors in the ALSO RAN category, not any more now HONDU is in the OH YEAH we had a HONDU there also category. Heres hopeing there are better things a head for them times are changeing and DAM fast.

yes i agree cob they keep selling atvs for the reason of .... my dad or my grandpa had a honda back in the 80s 90s and it ran forever...there technologies back then were good but today yes they are outdated. i also think honda is always last to update as back in the day honda was the ones who got sued and lost money so i think they let everyone else test the waters before the jump in.....as for the big red suv i talked with my boss awhile ago as he is in california at the dealer show. he said it is basically the same engine tranny as the rincon but with gearing and pressure changes. the engineer assured him it had engine braking....time will tell my 2 cents

Say what you want about the Honda's....they don't work for me either, but you don't see a lot of posts here from guys looking for parts, like in that uh "other" forum. Shrug

They aren't the first choice for the rocks we have, but certainly would be for reliability, that is what I'm trying to say...

True but you have to relise that we have more ppl with BOMBs than we do HONDU owners. Shrug ROFL

Let me clear up some thing here HONDUs are a fine machine, but here in the hills they ride so rough and have the 3 wheel drive that don't make them a good candidate for my list of quads that I would want to own. For a flatlander that don't ride the rocks all the time I am sure they work just fine. In the mud the AWD will work far better than it duz here in the MTN's.

I like giving JSC a hard time, he is a good sport about it and jumps me back every chance he gets. Some day want to make it back up his way and ride with him, I bought my 02 700 POLARIS in his backyard in 02 and got to see some of that awesome country then. Don't anyone take offense at what I say about HONDU it is all in fun and as long as I don't have to ride one all is well. ROFL I know that we have many new ppl on the forums and wanted to make sure they know where I am coming from.

COB is just full of prunes and hes getting really old and stinky. I been around too long for you to rattle my cage anymore. I dont care for any of the new hondas, I dont think the sxs is a cvt, looks like the Rincon setup, but we shall see. I bet you bottom dollar, they dont have to do "Consumer research and developement" like UHMMMM...well you know..

Wasn't meaning to jump on anyone, just that reliability is more important to some people then a well thought out machine that rides better, has more power and costs less.

Geesh, I'm getting in deeper.... Smile I'm just joking around, so don't anyone get riled up. I started on Honda's and still have a soft place in my heart for them. As does Cob. They make a fine machine and certainly have their place in the market.

Bottom Line.... Honda is a GOOD and In- Expensive quad... and that's about it..... It's up to the individual and their pocket book as to what they want...IF Honda put the money into R and D... they could make a GREAT quad, but they seem to happy with what they have....

Oh that they do in fact BOAT ANCHOR comes to mind. Shrug

Jsc hate to say this in the open forum but I thought the RINCOBs and RUBBYs were looking pretty good. Stuff like this can tarnish a guys image. banghead ROFL

One thing that I like, well probley only thing that I lke about the RUBBY, is the head light pod. Angel I like the fact that the light shines where the handle bars are pointed. Of the two I like looks of the RINCOB nice clean smooth lines.
