Got the same problem, let me know what they tell you. Right now we have just been dealing with it, hasn't really been a huge pain in the butt. But, I am curious to see what they tell you. Not sure if its a shifter issue, electrical, or fuel?

I have the same problem. 1st time I was going down a fairly steep hill. Other than that it happens when I will be riding for about 15-20 minules then idle for about 3-4 minutes. After idleing I will put it in gear and as soon as I tap the gas it stalls.

I have had my 700 for 1 month and have had it serviced already. I explainded the problem, they said everything is fine. Probably gonna be up to us to figure this out.

Bad part about some thing like this, unless a mechanic can actully experience it how can he cure it? It happens on the trails, but runs fine at the dealer frustrating but not their fault.

Yeah, I can see this becoming the big stall mystery. I am coming up on 720 miles on our Grizz somewhere in the 200hr range. I was out riding it hard on Saturday, and it stalled once.

Again, for me personally its not the end of the world or aggravating too me, but I understand it should not be still happening. Well, I ll keep this topic up here until we know for sure.

Could type three pages of dead road blocks with problems I have had with all manufacturers machines, Yamaha are not the old turds. Same thing with Politics both democraps and conservaturds are worthless, and most manufacturers are worthless when they have things go wrong with their machines.

At any rate. I called Yamaha today, and they asked did you take your machine too your dealer about this issue, I lied and said yes, because I just wanted to report the issue directly with them. So, the Rep, said what is your VIN number I gave it too him, he looked it up, and said I don't have any record of you visiting your dealer, or your dealer calling our technical support line to diagnosis/report this problem. So I got caught in a my lie, lol, and I said my crappy dealer lied to me, and didn't report this problem, lol. They told me you will need go through your dealer first, I said Okay.

Okay, my point is this. You must take your machine to your dealer like SSkillett did and let them diagnosis the problem, the dealer must officially report this problem to Yamaha first. If you still have a problem after that then call Yamaha, and they will have a record of this, and will then log in your complaint. Yamaha will not register your complaint unless you first go through your dealer.

Again, I avoid the dealers like the plague, and this issue has not risen to a level that I personally feel I need to take care of. However, I understand its still a problem and should not be happening, and the concern people may have. So follow my above advice, go through your dealer let them figure it out, and then if you still have a problem call Yamaha.

Keep us posted sskillett you are on the right track. Don't take the machine back until they have experience the problem themselves.

Just one thing, and I am not trying to be a jerk, but I am going to delete the post that are not related to this issue. The only reason I am doing this is because it is a sticky topic, and I don't mind teasing about Yamaha issues, but I want to this to stay on topic, and focus on the main issue and not getting side track.

If someone wants to start a thread on Yamaha's poor customer service or recurring issues go for it, I have no problem with it. I just want to keep this sticky topic on target since it is a serious issue. Thanks for understanding.

Good glad to hear its working, still not sure if that was the fix, but maybe it was bad gas.

Rode 25 miles yesterday, only happen once. I guess we will just have to monitor it.
