This wouldn't be the son in law of R Shaw would it?

Rocky Ridge is a great place to take the Family, we used to go ut there all the time, nice big lake to fish in also. From what I remember it is 650 acres with all kinds of different trails and great camping, 2 good hillclimbs and 1 or 2 motocross tracks. Used to see lots of deer and turkey in the earl morning. Have fun!

Small world hugh? The only regret you will have buying quads is that you didn't buy them sooner. Kind of like regretting not getting up here to Bowhunt Elk! Hope all is well with the family and tell everyone I said hello!

We usually make a 3/4 day ride of it. I always cut tires up there. Rocky is rocky is rocky. Have a flat repair kit and your safety gear.

Thanks TX, I'll keep that in mind. Any other areas you would recommend? Preferrably family oriented.

Do you have quads yet? I will send you some pics of our ride this weekend, might as well start planning a trip now!

Red River is geared more towards motorcycles, but is a fun place to camp and ride. When I had my Suzuki sport quad I used to go up there alot. Kids will like Rocky Ridge much better. We took our nieces and nephews up there and they had a blast on there little 90cc quads.

I like good trails and they are hard to find here. I get frustrated and sell my bike every 2-3 years. Especially with the fuel prices hauling 2-4 hours to pay a rancher to ride in his pasture burns my hide... We need more public lands here in TX! Lake Murray is a good simple kid joint. You can ride to the lake in several spots and they can go swim.
