There are a few things to look at here.
1st are you going to pay cash? If so the end of the month. The salesman is wanting to up the commision check, and the dealer is wanting to make the books look good for that month.
2nd Jan. Feb. are slow months. Most folks are recovering from all the bills of Christmas. The dealers are wanting to make sales.
3rd if you are financing, go to the web site of the Manufact. and look at the finance rates and proms. that are offerd.
All of the above come in to play most of the time.
Matt

There are a lot of ideas on this. It seems that 800-1000 off MSRP is a good deal. We have a magazine called Cycle Trader they are part of the AutoTrader.com chain. Several dealers nationwide post their best price in there so you know what the bottom line is. I take that price and add 2-300 bucks to it and the local dealer always takes it. I bought my 08 Brute camo in Feb for 7200 out the door. The plain colors were 6950. I don't mind them making a little money off me. I wish I bought it in January with the free winch promo. That is 300 bucks I lost...
It all depends on the person and the day. We have two holdback only/wholesale Kawi dealers in Dallas. We also have a half dozen that rope city folks at retail plus financing...

08 Kawi Brute 750 V Twin Powered Madness. Elkas, Warn, Bighorns..
05 F250 Super Duty FX4, to get it there.
24ft Toy hauler, to bring more friends.

TX Camo - COOL Avatar man !

I ended up buying at a dealer where I had been given the name of the sales manager, who was a long time friend of the person who referred me.

Long story made short I ended up with a 08 700 X2. Paid about MSRP, and got the following on/with the machine:

3500 Lb Polaris winch w/ synthetic cable
Lock n ride X2 gun scabbard mount
gun scabbard
trailerable Polaris cover.
33% off price of modular helmet

Bought a trailer there too. paid about $200 under msrp, got upgrade tires, and a spare and spare mount included.

May not have been the absolute cheapest, but it was the dealer close to me, who has a good reputation, has been in biz for 30+ years, and will be where I get service done.

REDBULL - They seem to be good guys. Hell, even Cob went in there and said he had a pretty good feeling about them.

CO_Dave - Check your PM's
