my predator just stopped running it has fuel and spark so i am thinking it must be the timeing so does anyone know how

If you mean ignition timing, modern ATV's remain pretty adjustment-proof; with a stocker, what you see is what you get, throughout the machine's service life.

Valve timing's unlikely to have changed, without serious mechanical damage or radical modifiction.

Does your Predator have compression? With spark, compression, and a combustible mixture, oughta start!

Try just a whiff of starting fluid (insuring a combustible) mixture); go easy and have a fire extinguisher standing by (not kidding).

If it runs on starting fluid, but not gasoline, you've a carb problem; or--a fuel supply problem (e.g., water in fuel).

Maybe you have bad gas. (Sometimes ATVer has that).
How old is the gas? Water is another possibility, like Tree Farmer sugested.

Were you out on the trail and riding it when it stopped running or was it sitting in the garage for a week and now it won't start?
