hey yall, yeah im from Texas prune juice, new to the board and the 4x4 atv scene. just hooked up with a grizz 700 le and want to do some mods to it.

first and formost i want wheels and tires, looking at the black ss 108 in 14" and mudlite xtrs in 27". it seems to be quite a popular package.

second would be a winch, what brand is recommended, i see alot of warn, venom, ramsey, and some others i just dont know how good they are. can some one point me in the right direction as which one to get or not to get.

and third i want some exhaust. no brand in preferance just something thats sounds deeper.

thanx in advance for the help, i will keep searching the forums for more valuable info

I like your choice of wheels and tires. It's the route I would go if I went to 27s. However, Interco (of Super Swamper fame) is also making their Swamp Lite in a 14x27" tire. It's not a radial, but they are cheaper and I'm hearing lots of good things regarding its mud capability.

welcome to ATVQS.

The 1st thing that comes to mind is what do you plan on doing with your new ride? Are you going to run the mud or run trails? The reason I ask is for pure trail riding a 26 might be the better ticket than a 27. I run 25's for the trail and I go everywhere everybody else goes. Warn is probably the winch of choice by most.

where we ride, it has a bit for both. some trails and some holes, i just wann make sure if i get into a hole i will have a good chance of getting out with some decent tires, and i know that its not only the tires it has to do with skill too but a good set helps. i have got the latest and greatest bike within all my friends, mostly sport quads, and knowing them and the peer pressure, "go through there, u can't make it,weak bike" i will go through it just to do it. plus i have my stockers i can easily change to for other situations. also what rating winch should i go with.

If you are riding those East Texas Mud parks like we do, but still want a good trail tire, then stick with 27", go with XTRs, MSTs, or Swamp Lites.

As far as the winch the Warns have come along way, I would look at either the 2500 or 3000lbs do not go anything lower than a 2500. I switched to Ramsey for a while, but the new WARNs have own me back, and I have one our Grizz 700, and its working great.

Pakistan????????????/ Roll Eyes What?

Bigbrd... If you want a smooth riding quad on hard pack as well as good in the mud... definitely go with the Interco Swamplites...
THe XTR's are a good mud tire , but will beat you to death on hard pack...

Exhaust.... I would recommend Ron Wood, but he only makes for Can Am.. With that said... go with HMF for a Slip On.. it sounds great to..

welcome bigbrd! I don't have any information to add, but it seems like you got a great bit of information so far anyway. Good luck with your quad and your future modifications! Big Grin

Bird sounds like when we were in HAWAII the guide says as with all large major cities they have good and bad parts of Town. One one certain street he named he said on one side were the PROSTITUTES and other side were the SUBSTITUTES.
