I've been reading your posts forever. Also been riding for what seems like forever. My husband drags me everywhere and I love all of it. Always looking for new places to ride. Have been to Taylor Park a few times. Also Moab. Look forword to learning more from you all.

SuziQueen - Glad you decided to join the site. It's a blast.

We are heading to Buena Vista 3rd week in July. Plan to camp and ride. Not sure the high passes will be open with all the snow we've had this winter. It'll be fun checking them out. May run over Cottonwood Pass to Taylor Park for a day ride. I think a lot of the members may be going to Taylor Park around 1st part of August.

Have you been to Lake City and ridden the Alpine Loop area yet? Another beautiful place to camp and ride. Share with us some of your favorite places to ride. We love pictures.

My husband and I have only been riding ATV's for 3 years and love it!!!

Do I need to bring skis or some other unusual footwear? Shrug

Maybe I can just save gas and you can hook on to my ride and give me a tug along. On second thought, never mind. No telling where you would tug me to or over. driving

As moderator..I'm suppose to tell you guys to get back on topic....but I won't since I'm not sure of the topic, and I want to help drag Rockon around when he's druged.

Welcome again Suzi (and your hubby) hope to see you on the trails somewhere.

Drug my wife thru Moab also and going to drag her thru Taylor Park over the 4th of July weekend. Get your husband to take you to Crested Butte to ride. My wife drags me thru there. Hey Rock on...

When pulling Greg, is it best to use a tow strap, a heavy duty bungie cord, or something else?

Sorry,(I have to be really careful what I say here and not talk about dragging or anything) we can't join you on the 4th or the weekend after. But we are heading for Taylor Park on the 19th for that week. Usually we camp in Union Park, but may look somewhere else this year. Hopefully most of the snow is gone, or there really will be some dragging going on.
We rode the Alpine Loop area a few years ago, but started on the Silverton side. Camped at Eureka and rode from there. Would like to get back. The scenery was great, but there's a lot of jeepers.

Beautiful area for scenery. Agreed on the jeeps, I use to Jeep there. Last few times were on quads. Still have a Jeep, it just mainly sits in the garage. Imogene & Poughkeepsie Gulch are my favorites in the area.

Just down over the hill north from UNION PARK. If you were leaving TAYLOR PARK heading to TINCUP when you cross the bridge instead of a sharp left take a sharp right the cabins with the RED ROOFS. We will be camped outside the fence in front of them. I think actually the ones we are in are owned by EIBERTS. But they all run together.
