Last Meeting:
2) Grants
Lefthand Restoration II - Planning meeting May 29. Plan for next three
years. 2009 Carnage restoration. 2010 Big Mother Hill restoration. 2011
Carnage tree and shrub planting. 2012 Five Points project.
Lefthand Map and Guide - Grant approved. Will begin working on text and
maps for printing.

3) Adopt-A-Road / Volunteer Projects
Caribou FR505 - Project to install a "Stay the Trail" sign. Planning.
Jeeny Creek - Planning signing, possible July proj. Kiosk needs
plexiglass. Possible August 8th project. Waiting on snow melt.
Ironclads - Project to put in post and cable at illegal route. Also rip
and scarify route. Project is May 29, 9am, meet at Bunce School staging
area to west of Bunce School.
Bunce School FR115 - Seasonal Closure NEPA in progress. Discussing.
T-33 Crash Site FR203 - Need field review, possible late in summer. Do
in conjunction with the VIS group (Visitor Information Services).
Lefthand Canyon Cleanup - May 9th. Cleanup complete with 58 volunteers.
Weather was very nice this year. Trash was way down in volume.
Lefthand - Project to maintain signs on routes FR288A,B,D and FR287B in
Lefthand. Possible June 7 after Fireman's Ladder project. Closure of
spur route on FR286.C.
Miller Rock FR252 - Review erosion June 18 with soils scientist.
Ice Spider - Project planned for June 6 to finish Fireman's Ladder post
and cable work. Meet at 9am at Lefthand parking lot. Need Jack hammer.
Project June 20, 21st. to install winch anchors on Ice Spider route.
Middle St. Vrain FR114 - Project June 13, 9am, to work on Coney entrance
for route control at sink holes and trail signs. Stay the Trail trailer
at MSTVRN on June 14.
Nugget Hill FR509 - Cleanup project May 30th, 9am, meet at Millsite
Restaurant on Hwy 72.
Castle Gulch FR287 - Need access control. Start with signing of route
directing traffic away from private property. Private property owners to
install signs also. Three Admin gates needed in the future.

4) Motorized trail projects
Lefthand FT836, 837 - Need maintenance on lower steep section. Trail
armor project. Hydrologist review being planned, May 28 or June 2.
Lefthand FT843 - August post and cable project to restrict use to single
track only.
Lefthand U-bc - FS coordinating with OHV Trail Crew for work project in
September or October. Post and cable at top and bottom, possible August
project. Culvert needed at connection to FR286.
Lefthand U-ay - Needs maintenance, late August project, possible post
and cable.

District related to the maintenance of OHV recreation.
Education - Restoration - Information
Test for projects: is it signing? erosion control? restoration?
keeping the public on the route? education? re-establishing closures
of previous decisions?
