I am getting my mount directly from Garmin to fit my 76CSx. i looked at the ram mounts--which i use in my company car daily-works great there. The bike mounts looked very cheesy-like the one Cajun mentioned in 2nd post. I may be wrong but looks wimpy to me. Here is the mount i am looking at from Garmin

I have a RAM Finger Mount for a Garmin eTrex Legend. This is the best pic I have of it, it works nice and if I don't have the GPS w/ me I stick the cell phone in there.

I also use the Ram mount with no problems. I know RockBanger busted his and he sent it back for a free replacement. Can't beat the customer service. Good Luck

It's a chatterbox GMRS X1. We used them this past weekend at Hatfield/McCoy and had a BLAST talking over them.

You can do that, but I got a 12V DC power adapter, push to talk button and a headset extension. So I push a button on the handle bars to talk instead of a button on the unit itself. The VOX doesn't work so well in an ATV environment.

So you have a wire running from the communicator to your helmet?

Yes. You'd have one either way with the Push To Talk button, unless you plan to take your hand off the handle bar to speak. Since I hardwired it mounting it to the bike just made sense, run 1 wire to the helmet (headset/mic) vs 2 (DC power and push to talk).

You should post me a pic if you can with your set up, I have mine mounted on the helmet but might think of doing it your way...

Ok, I still need to clean up the bike from my Hatfield trip, probably won't get to it until later this week. Thing is I had to lend my chatterbox to a buddy and I ended up using my Vertex UHF radio's that I had programmed w/ the chatterbox freq's. His headset (FRS) stopped working so I just gave him my entire chatterbox setup. So I need to put it all back together anyway.

Someone may have wondered whether the user's position is expressed in COORDINATES, as well as shown as a position on the map display.

Or, they may have seen a unit set up for UTM coordinates, and wondered if Lat/Long were also available.

Don't know why UTM isn't more popular; the numbers themselves provide the distance in meters (north-south and east-west) between any two points in meters. No interpolation is necessary worldwide with UTM, while in Lat/Long, the actual distance of a degree of longitude varies from the equator to the poles.

The military uses UTM (in constrast to Lat/Long); given the wide range of individuals in the military, understanding the UTM coordinate system seems well within the range of most.

Regardless, to each his own; mind the DATUM!

While the Zumo appears to be a fine product, ruggediezed, weatherproof, gloved-finger friendly, big highly-visible screen, etc., understand it has no "Track-Back" feature, as do other Garmin products.

Have one for my Garmin ETrex Legend; you get a replacement battery compartment cover and a plastic handlebar bracket; the new cover clips into the bracket.

Simple; works; probably won't be on permanent exhibit in the Guggenheim art museum, but--for an affordable, serviceable mount, why not?

Won't satisfy, likely, those whose egos and identities are fulfilled by their conspicuous consumption . . .

HEY! Just kidding, guys! Get the mount satisfying YOU.
