I was not slamming LaMigra... I have the highest respect for his opinions and reports on testing ATVs unbiasly and his wealth of information.... My surprise was, I was not aware of his site becoming a pay site... I host my own website and I know the expenses and time required to keep it up and running... I think I can search the web for what I was looking for. If I was interested in puchasing a new ATV, I would not have a problem paying to read good reviews from his site. It would be much better than buying a magazine and only getting what they want to sell you on....
thanks

I am sure it wasn't taken that way.

LaMigra has tried to advertise that the site is now a pay to view. But He has links all over and hard to change them all.

He is working hard at making the new site into what they think will be worth while paying for. It all takes time the quality will be worth the wait. I agree about the rags I don't put any faith in them,If I didn't spend so much time on the THRONE I wouldn't buy any of them. I get maybe 4 different ones each month, by the end of the month I have read most articles more than once. I need to suscribe to more rags.

Now with LA Migra and BACK2 they are riders like all of us they ride what we all do, that makes far more sense to me. The guy is honest with his thoughts he gives the good along with the bad. i'm not ineresed in how a machine slide around a corner or how fast it was in a drag race. I want to see it in the hills where I am going to take that suker. 2thumbs

Here is a box thats not on La's list.

I saw one of these Moose cargo boxes in a Honda dealership a few months ago. It had a real healthy price tag on it, so I was not willing to pay full price plus tax to get it at the time. I thought I could probably find a better deal than MSRP. So far no luck. I really like the back rest and cup holders, I doubt I would need to move the center container to the front rack to make room for buckets, but I could if I wanted to. One of the other really nice features were the hand holds one back of it. I you have ever had to shove one of these heavy machines around on a trailer or on the trail, you know how combersome they can be with a cargo box covering up the rear rack. I think those hand holds along the back of this box would come in handy at times.

Here a link to the Moose site. http://www.mooseutilities.com/products.jsp?level1=975&product_group_id=4020

Here are some pics of it.

If anyone knows where I might find a decent deal on one of these please let me know. I am sure some place is selling them for less than list price.

I bought two sets of the Mad Dog ATV boxes last year. I wanted the largest flattest boxes I could find. They were also among the cheapest. I would like them to have better latches but they worked well on our week long Colorado voyage. I mounted some strips of aluminum angle on the tops and drilled holes along them to bungee chairs and gear to the top of the box.

Here is the rear box, you can seethe alum strips are holding the chair bungeed down. Lunch at Mary Murphy Mine, low.
I mounted my GPS antenna to the front box.
