Neat, nice find. Thumbup

Hey YnotAZ, think this one deserves a Sticky to keep at the top of the page. As Boxes and Bags are a major discussion here.

Fantastic thread and glad its stuck @ the top.
Now for those interested the QUADBOSS DAYTONA front atv luggage box that comes in various colors is a nice box, sculpted to allow the headlight to see over the top and well made.

However, this box does not fit the SP800 front rack. The 800 rack sets higher to the headlight and maybe shorter frt to rear to set the box down properly. The headlight interferes when turning.

The Sp500 w/out front rack extenders works real well with the QBoss Daytona box, the headlight sees over the box and the box "fits" the front rack. thanks bob............

Good compiliation--maybe it's there, but the Pioneer ( http://www.pioneeroutdoor.com ) hard plastic box, with two side "flat" 1-gallon containers, and a front-or-rear flat 4 + gallon container, bears consideration.

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!! The link above "aliases" to a Kolpin website, because . . . Pioneer was PURCHASED by Kolpin in 2004 ( http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m3197/is_9_49/ai_n6212408 ); no wonder Pioneer isn't in the listings.

Anyway, Pioneer made a box accepting "flat pack" fuel/water containers, both the 1-gallon and the 4 + gallon sizes . . . don't know if Kolpin continued that product or not.

------------------

Also, my own box, a surplus 81 mm mortar ammunition container, might be included--no picture necessary, just imagine a steel box, 23 X 13 X 8 inches! I lined the interior with foam purchased from a fabric store, glued into place with spray cement, and fastened the box to the fram rails with U-bolts and wing nuts.

(Hey, I've got a few extra 81 mm mortar ammunition boxes on hand--free to good home!)

Tree Farmer~ Montana Jacks use to sell this box called the Magnum. The day I went to purchase this thing, I find it's no longer available. As per a topic in the Montana Jack's Sponsor Area, they are working with the manufacture to get a run of them.

Although I am keeping the rear box I have, with the added small packs and mounts. I would likely buy one. I can always put the one I have now on the Kodiak, and put the Magnum on the Rincon.

That Pioneer Box Tree Farmer is talking about, I now have. Wink Big Grin

Mounted that puppy on today.

Rincon is a little dirty, but was too cold to hit it with the hose that day after riding.

I want to buy a box. I need something that is waterproof and will fit on a SP MV700 (which should be just about anything). My concern is that I drive like a complete idiot. Does anyone know if the box will hit you in the back when in nearly a completely vertical endo? Because of this I have thought about a bag instead......are there any waterproof bags?

I have the Cabellas Bag with the see thru plastic pocket on the lid I would highly recommend it for all weather uses. I have had it for 2yrs now and Love it. It is the one in LaMigraTxs' link half way down. I am going to pull the trigger on a Kimpex rear box w/seat for my X2 later this summer.

It costs allot to maintain the sites and that don't take into consideration the time that is involved into keeping update as he did. I don't blame him a bit, it was nice to have the free info for several years but the work and expense caught up with him.

I can't think of anyone that was more unbias than La Migra he owned all the machines and rode them often. He was fair with his evaluation of each machine GOOD BAD UGLY it made no diff he didn't report back with blinders on. Got him in HOT water a couple of times as many wouldn't accept what he experienced and had documented on video. Funny I have yet to see any video that disputes any thing that he had posted. Easy to point fingers and call BS allot harder to actually back it up with pruff like a video. You would hear complaints about both quads not being the same color tires weren't fair or sun was in one riders eyes and not the other, but nothing to back all that up. No one else doing their own comparison to back up an opposing opinion.

So for now to access all that good info, you will be required to pay for it. We buy RAGS every month then complain how BIAS the shootouts are, well you now have the choice to join LA MIGRA and see some real everyday shootouts you can sink your teeth into. 2thumbs

He gets my vote! Thumbup
