I am back in town from my adventure to South Carolina and Tennessee. Lets get a show of hands to all who will be there. I will be there between 12 and 1 on Thursday. I will be in the Lime Green A Frame cabin by the office. It looks as if Smokey Bear wants to meet with us and go over some things about what is changing in 08. I will get with Greg tonight or tomorrow and get plans together for the ride.

Ah, I don't want say how many I have coming it will either be between 0 - 50 or 50 - 100.

Guys, every major camp is sold out, Wolf Pen Campground sold out, Heath Valley Cabins sold out, Outback Cabins sold out, and Sugar Creek Lodge Sold out, and they have about 20 cabins. This is coming from the emails I have received and my members, heck there are people camping out along the River.

Its going to be a good time, might break down in small groups, and just spread out.

Here are the plans that Greg and I decided on. He and I both will arrive between 12 and 1. We will do a ride that afternoon and we will leave the campground at 2 and will return around dark. Meet at the Limegreen Cabin up by the front office before 2 PM. On Friday we will meet at my cabin again at 8:30AM and will leave shortly after that. This will be the longest day so please bring enough fuel for around 100 miles and enough food and drink to get you through the day. I only know of maybe 3 places on Friday that might be a little tricky. It is a couple of washed out places but we will make sure everybody gets through it.This ride will be on mostly easy trails and some road riding to connect the trails. On Saturday we will meet at 8:30 at my cabin again. We will ride around Wolf Pen Gap area till noon or a little later then head back to the campgrounds for lunch and to fuel up. I figure we can leave out about 2 and ride some of the stuff outside of WPG. We will have some night riding involved in this ride. We will do mostly easy stuff but we can throw some challenges in if anybody wants it. Bring a little extra gas for the aternoon ride just to be on the safe side.

I just want everyone to know that we will abide by all rules at WPG. There will be no cutting across the forrest floor,no riding in the water unless the trail passes through it. Alcohol is prohibited at WPG so if you bring it and get caught you are on your own. You can drink after the ride but if you get drunk and act a fool I am sure you will be ask to leave the group while we are out riding. Wearing a helment is totally up to the individual but I recommend it.
With the amount of people coming the dust will be pretty bad so prepare for that. They don't sell gas at the campgrounds so if you don't want to go into town for fuel bring enough to last the weekend. Last but not least I just want everybody to have a good time. If you don't feel comfortable doing something don't be afraid to speak up. We will have plenty of experienced riders to get people through anything.Greg wanted me to let everyone know that if you run out of fuel on the trail it cost 8 bucks a gallon for trail gas. ROFL If I can think of anything else I will post it and if anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

I forgot to add a little of this might change. We are trying to fit in a time to meet with the forrest ranger so he can show us the changes coming for 2008. Also I forgot to add that it is Thursday when I will arrive and start riding around 2.

Why is Greg selling trail gas so cheap. ATV GURU and myself had that market at $15 per gallon. Shrug

I'll be coming back into town late on Thursday so that's why I can't meet at the cabin at that time. I'm good for Friday-Saturday-Sunday, either on the trail or at a/the cabin after hours. We might meet at 277 where it crosses the creeks or I might be on a 4 wheeler, or I might be in FS exploder and meet at a cabin.

I won't be counting rigs, but would like to keep me out of hot water by having less than 70 machines. All that week I'll be in what's called a Leadership Team meeting and mainly discussing the impacts of the new Rule on riding. I will have some good news for WPG too - ah heck, I can't keep a secret We hope to open up the road from the old mine back down and toward the west to tie into the new trail or come into 243 at the junction. Will probably be next year if we can, but it's looking good for now.

I may ask for a trail maintenance day from ya'll next year, will get some good press and some glory for your club if ya'll might be interested. Talk it over and we'll discuss mid-October at WPG. I'll have some new maps to scope over and fill ya in on what little I know.

How about Friday at 7PM at my cabin at WPG campgrounds. I am in the Lime Green one up by the office. A clean up day sounds good to me. Work out some days and I will let you lnow if I am off or not. I kinda work a goofy schedule.

I just booked the last tent space. It has room for two more tents if anyone needs a spot. $6.00 per night per tent. I plan on arriving late Thursday afternoon. I think it is tent space B.

I have room in my cabin Ed. My boss informed me she will not be going. Cost a little more than a tent but you are guaranteed a air conditioner and to stay dry.

For everyone that has rented one of the A Frames you will need to bring everything to sleep with. Pillow, sleeping bag cause the beds have no sheets on them. As a matter of fact they have nothing unless you got a bigger A frame and they have tables.chairs,stove. We will have to pack into Gregs to watch TV. Hey Greg don't forget those breakfast burritos. Tell the boss you will be feeding 2 this go round.
