Had the day off today anyway and the quad refused to stay in the shed any longer. Went up to Wy again and rode Black Mountain to the fire lookout tower and the Laramie peak trail to the radio towers. 60 degrees when I unloaded and stayed about that all day.

Couple flocks of wild turkeys along the road on the way up. Black Mntn trail is a real easy, since it goes to a lookout tower, views are awesome from there. Stairs to the tower are about like climbing a ladder but worth it.

Laramie Peak trail is 4.2 miles from the start to the radio towers and tight rocky switchbacks all the way up. Kind of crowded up there today as there was 3 other quads on the trail, but they were the only ones I saw all day. They were packing solar panels, batteries and framework up there to add to what was already there to power the radio antenna's. They weren't having a good day, I caught up to them about a mile and a quarter up the trail and they had already broke all 3 trailers and were tying them together with ratchet straps, etc. Trailers were new when they started up, but were just the ones you'd get at your local farm supply store and those solid axles and lite tongues just weren't staying together.

Great day over all. 70.5 miles 8 hours. But 4 hours of that was spent doing the 8.4 miles up and down Laramie peak. All the roads and trails up here are enrolled in the Wy atv program, so its easy to get from one area to another about as quick as you want to. Here's a few pics from todays ride.
