I will be in Moab in a month and have it planned pretty good. We are staying in Monticello the 1st night and will stop and ride the Wilson Arch/Cameo Cliffs area on the way to Moab. We will arive at Archview Campgrounds Saturday night. For the next four days we will ride around Moab. Right now we are thinking of riding the places.

Day #2 Chicken Corners/Hurrah Pass/Kane Creek Canyon
Day #3 Hey Joe Canyon and around that area
Day #4 Pole Canyon/Top of the World/Delores River Overlook

Day 5 is kinda up in the air. Havn't really decided on where to go that day yet. I don't want anything hard cause we are driving 18 hrs to ride and don't want to take a chance on hurting anything plus my wife isn't into the hard stuff. Would Dome Plateau or Determination Towers be the most scenic. I am trying to ride a little in each part trying to see the differences in each geographical location for pictures.

Hey Ronnie, The Monitor Merimack area may be what you are looking for. In that area you will find 7 mile rim, determination towers, that cave i can't remember the name of and a lot of area to explore. Fun area...almost need a guide to find everything. Take a GPS, or you may get lost. The parking lot is just north of Archview.
If you are going in a month, it'll be HOT, so you will want to take it real easy, lots of water (duh) and look for shade. Have fun.....

Just got back from our first trip. Tusher Tunnel (interesting) and Hidden Canyon in the Monitor/Merrimac Area were interesting and fun. Top of the World was great (we did this on the trip in, from Denver). I would also include Bull Canyon/Gemini Bridges. Chickens Corner was a long day, don't know if you can include Kane Creek in a day (we didn't)?

I figured I would run out of time on some of the stuff. I better tell the wife to take pictures on the run. What were the temps when you were there Scott. I am hoping for cool nights mild during the day a lots of sunshine. I might get one out of the 3. Did you do Rose Garden Hill when you were around Top of the World?

Just Top of the World and back from the Dewey Bridge. It was cool 40-60 during the day and 20-30 at night, but looked like it was going to be seventies upon leaving. Dress in layers. Started at 9am most mornings and were the first ones out (a little cool for some, I guess). Because later in the day the parking areas were pretty full. For Kane Creek (Hurrah & Chickens Corner) parking is free on the far side of the cattle guard. $5 @ Gemini and free @ Mill Canyon RD for Merrimac/Monitor.
