Guys, if WPG Campground Cabins are booked try Heath Valley Cabins they are just down the road.

Heath Valley Cabins have more of the larger cabins.

Here is a link to the full info.

Quad State Rally Info

Let me know if that works.

Gregg-O and I have kinda came up with a plan for the riding we will do. On Thursday we will just play it by ear cause we figure not everyone will make it there by noon on Thursday. That is around the time we plan on being there and riding some that afternoon. On Friday we will head out to a place we call Blue Hole. It will be a little road riding and a little trails to get there. Once we get there it will be 90% trails with a little road riding thrown in. We will leave around 9AM and get back between 5-6 PM. Really good riding in the woods and there are only a couple of places that are a little tricky. Nothing bad so we shouldn't have any problems on Friday. On Saturday we will leave between 8:30 and 9AM and ride inside Wolf Pen Gap. We will ride till around 12-1 then head back to the cabins for lunch and a break. Head back out around 3 and ride stuff south of the main riding area. There will be river crossings(if it rains and creeks if it doesn't)some good hill climbs, lots of scenery, some tight trails through the trees and some rocks to work through if Gregg wants to do his favorite trail. We will return around 10-11PM so we can get some night riding in. Each day you will need to bring extra fuel and food for the day. If we come across a place someone doesn't feel comfortable doing if a group wants to do it they can and I will lead the ones who don't to where they will come out at the end of the trail. Don't be afraid to say I don't feel comfortable doing it. Gregg and I want everyone to have a good time and return home safe. This is just an idea we have came up with and it isn't set in stone. This is a pretty good plan cause it lets everyone that has never ridden here see some good scenery. Maybe Gregg can post a few pictures of Blue Hole and some of the trails we will be riding.

Cool Smitty, we look forward to meeting and riding with you.

Ronnie everything sounds good to me by the end of the weekend everyone will have seen all the best spots in WPG.

Might have the Big Cat for the ride, its supposed to come in around 10/15 which is the Wednesday before we leave, but I received word it might be in earlier. Who knows I may still just take the X2, since I love riding that machine up there.

Here are a few Highlight pics of the WPG area.

Bear Caves just south of Sugar Creek Lodge, we should take a few people up there maybe 5 at a time since its pretty tight once you get up there. We could take a break on the road, and I can take each group up there.

Caney Creek

Little Missouri Falls

Blue Hole

On top of Blue Hole

Typical Trail

Hawks Overlook for who ever wants to tackle it, helmets are suggested for areas like this, there is a bypass around it

Hopefully, the water crossings won't be this deep. This was from the last trip we were up there.

Typical trail

Bring tire plugs the rocks are sharp

Widow Maker Hill Climb WE WILL NOT BE DOING

Great Views

My favorite trail system, you would think you are in the Jungles of Costa Rica. If your machines survives this its pretty rough.

More caves

Typical Creek Crossing

Wilderness Trail

This is what it looks like in Mid to Late October

Okay, will lets try and avoid this, lol

Should Trail Master Ronnie go down I have all the trails in my GPS unit

Ronnie's Buddy

Highline in October

Trails are tight

Scott and Mark from Highlifter joined us on one of the coldest winter rides we did up there

Those are some of the highlights from the area, I have more pics on my adventure site

Oh, someone emailed me asking about side by side machines, and if they would be okay up there.

80% of the trails up there are fine for side by side, but there is 20% of the trails that are very tight, off camber, and would be dangerous for a side by side. I wouldn't suggest bringing a side by side on this ride. If it were a small group of maybe 5 people no big deal, and most of the tight and dangerous trails can be avoided. But, we plan on riding nearly all the trails, and some are difficult on a full size utility machine let alone a side by side.

I don't have anything against side by sides, but they do have their limitations in certain areas, and I don't want someone to have too turn around and go back.

LaMigra, I was thinking about getting a set of Mudlite XTRs for the 800. Whould the Big Horns be a better tire for this ride?

What's the best way to carry extra fuel? I don't usually ride long enough trails that require taking extra fuel with me? How much extra fuel are we talking?

We will be leaving from the campground but we will pass the trailhead each day. If you want to meet at the trailhead and save 5 dollars that would work out. Just be sure and let usknow what you are driving and riding so we can hook up.

The XTR's will do fine up there. Have seen a bunch of people with those tires riding there.

Voodoo and Cajun don't go out and buy a fuel pack just for this ride. I am waiting on Gregg to respond to a email I sent him this morning. I am thinking he has 2 and if a friend of mine is back from Moab(are you reading this Woody) maybe he will let me borrow one of his. I just hate to see you guys spend 70 dollars on one just for this ride. I also have a 5 gallon jug I can take and with the six gallon tank I have I usually don't need much if any. There is one catch to the gas on the trail. Greggs quote last time we rode is that trail gas is 8 bucks a gallon. Slap

I have an extra fuel pack I can bring.

But, Voodoo if you have the funds I would invest in them, especially if you like long trail rides with us. It wouldn't hurt to have them especially when ride up in Oklahoma or Arkansas.

Extex look forward to meeting and riding with you.

Redbull, come on down.

I have no shortage of gas cans. Perhaps (2) 2 1/2 gallon cans would be better than a 5 gallon.

What type of footwear do you guys ride with? Seeing the water crossings, I'd hate for my feet to get wet if it's cold.
