Are you guys camping on top of Mt. Mag?

I might try and swing this ride, if I don't do my Louisiana ride.

Oh, yes Ed. Been there done that. We camped up there one night, and nearly blew away, thankfully I was sleeping in my Tahoe...

Don't know if we can make these exact dates but will try. We've never made Mt. Mag and would like to give it a try. We'll have 3 toy haulers to park/camp. Can anyone tell me where there would be some places that we can set up and ride out of. Thanks!

we are camping at the Sorghum hollow camp site.
The lady I talked to said there were 15 campsites there, but I dont know if they have hook ups for the toyhaulers. we are coming in from I-40 and that seems to be the easiest campsite to get to. she also said that the two counties that Mt. Magazine covers allow atvs on the county roads also. we'll be there sometime around noon on the 19th. Hope to see some of you there.

No hook ups at Sorghum Hollow. Lonsome Dove Horse Camp may have them.County roads trail to trail only, not to sure how heavily it is being inforced.. FS roads ok to ride.

I called the Mt. Magazine ranger district and was told that the Judges in the two counties that Mt. Magazine covers allow atvs on the county roads. I would hate to think we were riding legally and get a ticket for it. She made it sound like all county roads were open to atvs.

Be sure to post your ride up on the blazers forum. I'm sure you could get a few from there to join you too.

Whats up jfraser? Haven't seen you on the okatvriders board lately...Hope we didn't scare you off... shock I had some buddies go to Mt. Magazine last year...They said it was pretty good trip, but they definitely like WPG better...I would like to try and make this trip, but I just found this and don't have enough "advance notice"(just found this board yesterday) to do it" ..Hope you guys have a good time..I know that is a pretty long drive for ya'....

I think we might try WPG next time.
we do a trip every year usually to E. OKLA
but alot of that was closed down so we are gonna try somewhere else.
okatv riders seemed more sport atv oriented.
It seemed like everybody just rode at little sahara.
