For those that might not get much of a chance to visit real dunes here is a taste.

This is at Glamis CA over Thanksgiving.
I took my 7 year old nephew for a ride so it is fairly sedate.

We rode like this for hours.

The interesting thing about Glamis is that its HUGE! YOu can find plenty of places to be alone even on the busiest weekend.

However this video was shot in a small section of dune between the Glamis Beach store and Oldmobile hill which is the highest concentration of riders you can imagine.

We just managed to be alone for a few minutes.
I have some of the crowds I'll post later.

But we camped in the north end 15 miles north of Glamis beach store. It was very quiet and the riding was nice, very few people up that way.

Sorry about the quality on that one BTW. My helmet cam is the standard Bullet cam attached to a MiniDV camcorder.

This is the first time I had to put the camera bag directly on the vehicle. On my ATV I wear the fanny pack and the vibration effects are minimal. As you can see the vibration caused quite a mess of skips and blurs.

I am getting a whole new setup this week which is all digital and should eliminate that.
