Great pics...! Where is the hey joe trail. We were in Moab for a month (may 2005) and I don't remember any reference to it at all. Guess I will have to dig out my old maps and look for it. We plan to spend the month of october this year in moab...can hardly wait. It's such a great place to ride and take photo's.

If the plan holds up, we will be in the snowy mtn (WY) area and fort bridger area during august, the torry & marysvale (UT) area during september & then moab in october.

Any ride info on snowy mtns, torry, and fort bridger would be apprecisted. We have ridden scooters all over the fortbridger area, but not atv's. The riding there DOES LOOK GOOD...! We have also spent three entire summers riding in the marysvale area. Good ridin'...!!!!

It is a combination of Spring Canyon Bottom (steep cliff road into canyon) then continuing with Hey Joe Canyon (mostly sandy trail following the Green river) To get there take 313 towards the Canyonlands National Park 8.5 miles, right onto Dubinky well rd, anoughter 1.5 miles Dubinky well rd go's right (The Needles, Duenbaugh Tunnel, ten mile wash) straight is to Spring Canyon Bottom and Hey Joe Canyon. snoopy

From Moab take 191 north about 9 miles and turn left on Hwy 313 (just before archview campground). Follow 313 8.5 miles and turn right on Dubinky Well Road. Go about a quarter mile and turn right into Big Mesa Campground and camp here or unload and ride from there. Get back out to Dubinky Well Road and go right. In 1.4 miles the road will split to the right. DO NOT GO RIGHT BUT KEEP GOING STRAIGHT. Follow the main road which is now called Spring Canyon Bottom Road. Follow this road all the way to Hey Joe Canyon. I guarantee you that you will not miss Hey Joe Canyon cause this road will send you off the edge when you get there if you are going to fast. It is well worth the time to get there.

Green Dragon & Ronnie.....thanks for the info. I am printing out your directions. Sounds like a place we would like to ride. We avoid the "really ruff" terrain if possible. I'm just getting too old to push/pull/drag these machines around. I'm content now to see/photograph the beauty from trails that are a little easier on the old body...! Smile
Thanks again
