I am getting ready to install my warn rt winch and was wondering if there is any place besides the rear of quad to mount the solenoid? Where is the cheapest place to buy a winch mount?

ebay usually has mounts, i would stick with the factory one

i installed the solenoid under the seat, rearward of where the tool kit is, just move the relays out of the way and put the solenoid there

I bought the Warn mount from the dealer. 08 takes a new mount. the 05-07 are a different tube size and angle. I got mine for 75 bucks I think, they list for 100 plus. Watch the winch loom and make sure it is above the plastic panel over the exhaust. I made a post where mine nearly caught fire.

i got a american eagle winch mount and a warn xt2500 winch it is super quiet, can't wait for snow to plow.

Some guys run a short plow cable during plow season to keep from damaging the 50ft cable.

My american eagle winch mount is a joke, going to replace with warn mount and problem solved. Got plow mount on waiting for snow to arrive.

Sorry you had to do it twice, the Warn/Kawi mount is very good.

Mounted my winch to the front rack, don't like the idea of it getting wet when I'm down in the bottoms, or in the mud. Seen to hold up pretty well where I have it mounted.
