A few of us have had some gas spew out the vent line. A some haven't.
For what it's worth I told my dealer about the problem & they threw a new gas cap on under warranty.
A couple hundred miles later, and with progressively warmer weather, not a drop of gas out of the vent line.
The new cap must hold tank pressure better, raising the boiling point of the gas.

interesting, but if it held the gas better, it would bleed off more, not any less, unless it leaks some and actually holds less pressure...dunno

I have to admit I dunno either. At first I thought their troubleshooting was kinda off.
But the results are good. Thumbup

I overfilled once already on my '08 & I had blow out just a little from the vent line but I smelled gas all day. I think once the vent line is primed with gas, it must continue to vent gas until the Brute is parked overnite.
The next day w/topping off with fresh gas, the venting wasn't present but I didn't overfill.
So I'm not sure on a new Gas cap.

It looks like the in tank pumps on EFI apps are heating the fuel. The Grizzly folks are having notorious probs with hot spewing fuel. I think half of their heating is exhaust related though..

This one is an '08. Repair is validated.
As mentioned earlier, some have had occasional venting some haven't. Your quad may be in the later catagory.

My '07BF750 would do the gas venting now & then, so it can't be the fuel pump.
Now the '08BF750 has been doing this gas venting more often lately, not real bad but it is noticable to others who ride w/me.
Since my Dealer is a 200 mile round trip and the '08Bf doesn't do it all of the time,I just ordered a New Gas Cap on line($43), it is now on & the last 100 miles of riding, Zero gas Venting has occured. I'll be out riding for 6 days on a Campout at the end of this month, a good test for the New Gas Cap.

Thought it was fixed w/the new gas cap but not so, still does it.
On my '05BF750 I used that heat tape on the header pipes but not on the '07 or the '08, since I still have that heat Exhaust tape kit, I'm going to use it on the '08 & see if it is a Heat problem & the Gas Tank.

Same here. The new gas cap appeared to do the job for about 300 miles. Then I started to get some intermittent venting again. Not as bad, but still some drops of fuel on the air cover.

I agree. Keeping some heat away from the gas tank is my next step as well. Thumbup

I noticed the venting on long 4x4Low climbing steep trails as the fan would come on, at times I could see the gas being venting out from under the handlebars, something I never noticed before. I notice it does it more on the hotter temperature days.
Elkbow since day-1 has had his entire headers heat coated right up to the muffler.

its possible the coated headers make a difference, but i didn't have the problem prior to getting my headers coated, i only did that when i put the hmf exhaust on, the stock exhaust was not coated and i rode it for a couple hundred miles with no problems

I wrap a little of the Exhaust heat wrap around the front header pipe, about 14 inches and under the BF's heat shield as well(ran out of the clamps to do it all). Now my Left leg does not get cooking from the high heat output when in Low range 4x4.
The venting of gas now hasbeen delayed I believe b/c of this heat wrap that I installed but I am still getting Gas to vent but now only till the end of the ride, this is when the Gas tank is getting hot, so Hot on the outside of the Tank & that outer cover that is around the Gas Tank do I get venting thru this vent hose, that I thought was a Gas vent Hose. It is a Vacuum Hose not a vent hose, that Check Valve at the Gas Tank must be faulty to allow the Hot gas to pass thru it and then to vent under the POD, where these Vent Hoses & Vacuum hose exit.
So now I will get a New Check Valve, bummer is the rear body will have to be removed to get to it but with it off, I'll finish with the Heat Wrap on the rest of the Exhaust pipeing right up to the muffler.
Like said, not all of the Brutes are doing it and the Carb units do it too, must just be a bad batch of Check Valves, it happens.

Back in '03 with the Prairie 650, Kawasaki had a ton of faulty CDI units, they let Cat have them for the Cat 650V2 and even some of the Kawasaki 650's as well were troublesome.

Let me know when you get a good ride out there. I would consider making a trip. I am done with Colorado for a while. I really liked those snow pics you posted last year. Bow to You

New Gas Check Valve was the fix, no more venting of raw gasoline.
Exhaust heat wrap works great too, cuts down on the left leg heat from the header by about 50%. You can still feel some heat there but nothing like it was before.
