Just installed WORKS Pro G-Series shocks on my 08 BF 750EFI. Day and night difference on the ride, best bang for the buck...

I agree.
I've been using the Same Set of my WORKS AT Shocks on my last 3 Brute 750s.
No matter what I Buy in the Future I will always do this one Upgrade right after the tires, a set of Aftermarket Shocks.

I agree SWBF750 if you are going to ride hard and really push your machine after market shocks are a must.

Randy, between the preload settings you can either make it really plush, or really stiff. I have mind really stiff since this is mainly my trail performance machine, and I don't want any body roll, and want to take ruts, and washouts really hard and fast with minimum rebound. Like I said night and day difference from stock to these.

I was going to install Recreational Elkas on my Outlander, but after riding on the Works, and the cost difference, I think I am going with Works on the Outty, and Grizz.

Do those have compression or rebound knobs? I thought about Works but everyone says Elka is worth the extra money... I can't decide. I like to hot rod but I also haul a 1200lb trailer, and traverse the mountains... I want it to ride like a PoPo or Bomb in the mountains....

Hey Tx Camo,

I have the Dual Rate shocks since the Brute Shocks are so short you can only have dual and not triple.

Here is the dual rate explanation by WORKs, let me know if that helps... They are nitrogen filled also.

"Works Performance Dual-Rate Springs (DRS) have two linear (straight) rate springs: a short spring with a "stiff" linear (straight) rate and a longer second spring with a "soft" linear (straight) rate. As both springs compress they result in a soft, or initial rate. The spring set will retain this initial rate until the short spring stops compressing. At that point, the spring rate "crosses over", (transitions), to the stiffer, or final, rate. On Works Performance shocks, this "crossover" point is set by means of crossover spacers, or with an ARS option. By adding or removing "crossover spacers", the rate can get stiffer sooner, or stay softer longer. The ARS option allows the rider to select the "crossover" point with a lever. The application of Single-, Dual- or Triple-Rate Springs is based on the overall length of the shocks, the shaft travel, and the available spring rates. Customer requirements also make a difference."

As far as which is better Elka or Works. I have ridden both. In my opinion the difference is marginal and it all comes down to price. I was going to run Recreational Elka's on my Outty, but after really running these Works, I couldn't be more happy, and will run them on all our performance quads.

I put Works on the Outty and love them...what a difference, they came with the preloads set in the center of travel, plush ride, a bit more roll then I liked. This last weekend, we were in the rocks, so i set them full stiff. Gained 3/4 inch in GC that came in handy, but when i hit the open trail....man they were STIFF! Too stiff. I backed them off about 1/4 inch...and wow! I could haul Cob butt on a fairly rough trail. With a great ride. I told Works that I weighed 30lbs more then I do when I ordered them. Looks like they nailed the set up for me.

Yeah, I sold my Crutchfields, and picked up the Works, best investment I made.

I agree Atver on the softest pre-load its really plush something the Brute Force really needed, and on the stiffest setting its really stiff, and is awesome when you want to ride aggressively, and fast, when you want to take turns hard and fast thus eliminating body roll, or riding super fast over ruts, and rough spots with very little movement.

Again, great bang for the buck.

I just hate adding anything new to my machine it just shows how many miles of dirt I have on it. I need to do a full detail.

Find a Works dealer or call them directly. They start around a grand a set for the basic shocks. I ordered the Elka sport racing series with adjustable compression and rebound damping. They are 2 grand a set.
