I searched a few pages, I still have questions. This bike is hell to fill, it spews out the top and gets gas everywhere. Fuel is a premium asset on this thirsty beast. So what have you found on removing or cutting the baffle? I don't want to vent gas through the frame and burst into flames! It sure sucks for topping off. I may drill a few vent holes in the top of the white collar just so it doesn't spit gas at me on fill up... That would also allow me to control the fill level better.

I cut an inch and a half off the baffle. Doesn't seem to spew on fill up, & I get a little more capacity.

I remove the baffle when filling, fill to the bottom of the fill neck, not up in to it, then put the baffle back in, never have any venting gas...
