The top speed is in the pulley design not the engine power. I think stock clutches do a little over 65mph. A machined clutch will do 75+

My machine tops out at 50 mph on pavement and about 46mph on sandy trails, not to bad.

50... that's way low for a 750... Is there something wrong with it...

It seems to run hard, got 142 miles on it now. I am going to get a tach on it to see how fast the engine is running. Places where i could get up to 50mph my buddy has same machine as me, he could get up to 61mph. I am going to loook it over today.

It feels alot lighter than my 800 popo did, but i think my 800 would eat this thing up on top end. I am going to switch my tires and rims tomorrow and maybe pop the belt cover off and take a look to see if the belt is loose or chunking apart. I just thought of something else to look at, maybe the throttle stop screw is not fully backed out, i can see a couple of my buddy's playing a prank on me.

50mph tops, that is not right.
Once again elbow & six others this time got back up on the highway here in the mountains in NM, my '08 BF750 GPS read 64mph, I beleive elkbow said he got up to 71mph(GPS) but b/c of other traffic(Cars), we all had to hold back a top speed run. Elkbow passed at least one car, that was funny.
Again, this was at 8300 ft Elevation.
My '08BF750 is running 26" Terra-crosses @ 5.2psi on SS106 wheels.

something is definitely wrong, here is the speed of my brute at 8300 feet altitude (you lose 3% hp for every 1000 feet above sea level) and as SouthwestBF750SE said above, he was right behind me well in to the 60's on mph

check your throttle stop screw and if thats not it, take it to the dealer to have the ecu reflashed

speed on gps run with 26" bighorns, also, i had a popo 800 and the brute will easily smoke it on acceleration and top speed

I got on mine for a second or two last weekend. It pulled up to 63 before I came to my turn off. I bet it would rip with lighter rubber.

I am no stranger to speed but I must say I don't feel 100% in control doing that on this ATV on pavement. I must be getting old.... I faintly remember the old days of roaring between cars over 150mph on my liter bike in shorts and T shirt...

I did 56+ at 10,000ft loaded with both boxes full of camping gear. It may have had a little more but I didn't beat her.
