Although a lot of the people on this site are familiar with the Paiute system you will get alot farther asking that question over on ATVUTAH.COM. I am on there under the same name as here and am curnetly working on planing my first trip out there with the help of a few on that site. That site dont get near the activity that this one does so you will have to be alittle patient but there is lots of great info over there.

First of all, BDR welcome to the forum. It would help if I knew a little more of what you are looking for. Lots of riding available on the Piaute Trail. Lots of options for hotel/motel/camping accomodations. Please tell us a little more of what you want. We even know of a place that serves all-you-can-eat crab for less than twenty bucks each on a weekend. LOL Perhaps one of the first things you want to get your hands on is National Geographics map of the Piaute Trail. It's about $10.00.

I am here N41° 10' 54.7" W111° 58' 38.84", wishing I was here, N38° 26' 57.84" W112° 13' 49.83"!

I rode the Pauite Trail last October. I stayed in Richfield, in a very comfortable hotel, and was able to ride to the trail right from the hotel. Rode 200+ miles in two days and had a wonderful experience.

Give us a little more info on what you wold like to do. Do you plan on camping, getting rooms or what. I have been a few times and I could probably head you in the right direction. Like Brandon said ATVUTAH.Com is the best place for UT trail info. They even have color coded maps of the system for download to a Garmin GPS.

Thank you for all of the QUICK responses.

I did just receive the Pauite trail guide book and also the latest version map. The have read the book and it will be a great help.

What I am looking for is a combination of moderate to extreme riding. Speed is not important for this trip, but the scenery and views are.

Would like to see some of the old mines. Reach the higher altitudes. Cross many water crossings etc.

I belong to an ATV club in Cleveland, Oh.
South East ATV Riders Associaton. (www.seatvclub.com)
We have been out west riding in Las Vegas, Scottsdale, Az. And also Reno, Nv and Northern Ca.where we rode the Rubicon Trail. (loved it)

If anyone knows of any ATV clubs in the area we would love to meet them and perhaps ride with us.

You should be able to achieve all of those goals if you don't go too early. Some of the high passes don't open until August.

We went in near Lake Tahoe and rode Cadillac Hill. Had lunch @ Cadillac Springs, and rode back to the trail head near Tahoe.
