Whole lot of variables here....Tow vehicle, up to snuff? how big a 5th wheel? Where will you be going? some states don't allow double towing. brakes may be required on the atv trailer in some states or all states if more than a single axle and that would require 2 brake controllers.
Nice thing compared to a toy hauler or motorhome, you can trailer to the trail heads with out breaking camp.

This may be another option for you to look at:

idahotote

It attaches solidly to the 5th wheel and uses swivel wheels for steering and with options, it can be towed like a normal atv trailer once you get where your going.

But to answer your question, I double tow behind my 5th, boat locally within a hundred miles, Atv trailer as far as Taylor Park last year. It works, just got to be sure everything is in shape and check it regularly because you can't see whats going on back there unless you also add a rear view camera to the 5th wheel.

Interesting concept. Could be a solution in the states like Oregon.

many states that outlaw double tow also consider the swivel attachment a trailer, thus not allowed. Check state laws.

Figgers! Mad

Hey Wayne, why not put those chairs on top rather then on the ladder. Is it because those ladders are mainly for show?? Hard to negociate the darn things!

I have no real idea why they put ladders on an RV. I would not put anything up there that would harm the rubber roof. Those chairs have lots of history. I call them my "biker chairs". One year my sister-in-law and her husband rented their house in Spearfish, SD during the ralley. Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) and others stayed there. They bought about 10 of these chairs and left them there when the left. My brother-in-law gave me 4 of them and I still have these 3.

Big GrinGreat story, agreed on the ladders, I think they may serve well for those who want to get a better view of something, then throw beer cans at people, but other then that really haven't found a use for them.
