Well, we sold our Airstream in December and have been waiting for the new Toy Hauler to arrive. It made it in to the dealer last weekend and we will be picking up Friday morning. It is a 40' Newmar X-Aire Toy Hauler. Will take some pics this weekend and post....

Sweet Beer

Can't wait to see it. I am looking at them as i am pretty much full timing and starting to get sick of the 26' Jayco i am living in. I have been looking at the Raptor 3812 and a new one called an Inferno. Heading up to Mesa this weekend to check out an Inferno 4012. Post some pics and lets see.

Just wondering as well, what are you towing with?

We looked at about 15 makes and models. The biggest concern we had with the middle priced like the Raptor was holding up over the years. We looked at a lot of units that were 1-3 years old and seem to really be really beat up. We spend more than I wanted but my brother has a Newmar Mountain Aire (6 years old) and it is definitely the better quality we wanted. Anyway, you will find most have the same setup (when adding a garage) since you are kind of limiting on how many ways to lay it out... Good luck on the Raptor, definitely has all the good stuff....
If you are looking at a 40' unit, better have a good heavy truck to pull with. That is why we sold our F-350 and stepped up to a F-550. Our toy hauler will probably weight around 18,000 loaded, way too heavy for a 3500 or 350 truck. Here is a link to our hauler...

We picked up the beast Friday afternoon. Took it out for spin down the Interstate to see how the Blue Hauler (F-550) handled the beast. We cruised at 70 with not much effort. Overdrive at 70 with no problems. For now, no problem in the flatland for sure. Will make a trip to the farm next week to break her in. We really love the coach so far. The trailersaver air ride hitch really smoothes the big rig out. No jerking or bouncing on rough road. I did load both Bombs and it is a tight fit. Probably 2" beween the Bombs on both sides and center. I have larger tires on mine but the wife's are stock. Will have to be careful when upgrading hers. One thing I really like is the view looking at the rear door. You do not even know it is a toy hauler from the rear. No exposed door or hinges. Very well planned... Will get some good pictures next week with the rig on the road and some inside shots.
