2010 will signal the end of that nameplate. Lots of history there, sad to see it go. Got some dubious education in the wide backseats of early sixtys Grand Prix, watched in awe the performance of GTOs, and Firebirds. Still own and drive a 90 model all wheel drive STE. Great winter rig.

I only owned 1, I think a '86 Fiero V6 Manual, bought it used (could have been a '85). I think that car would've killed me. Had the speedo buried a number of times, that thing flew it was like a road rocket.

It's a little sad to see it go. I had 3 GTOs and a Trans Am Firebird. But I haven't owned a Pontiac since 1980.

First car I ever bought on my own was a 1985 pontiac firebird. Loved the way that thing handled. Also have a 89 firebird formula. I love the firebirds. They are awesome. It is a shame to know they won't be back. I guess it was a helluva idea to discontinue the Firebird's and Camaro's.

72 Lemans sport.

Was dad's daily for 30 yrs.

Seems to be the favorite to make ('71) clones. Add a wing to trunk and a couple decals.

There was no convertible GTO in '72.

My last GTO was a 1970 model that was close to the same color with a brown vinyl top. It was the nicer of my previous models, but too nice and not fast enough for a 20 year old.

My last car was a 77 T/A 400 ordered new in 76. Since that one it has been all trucks for me. It really was a fun car but after 1?0,000 miles (don't remember exactly, it's been gone 22 years) the TH350 was slipping and all the fins were rotting out of the radiator (didn't leak but didn't cool very well either). I parked it, figuring someday there would be time and money to......... Eventually the UPS driver made me an offer, happened to be just before I was leaving to shoot at Camp Perry, and all thoughts about cars faded to be replaced by thoughts of rifles.

My last Poncho was a '78 Trans Am T/A 6.6 (last of the true Pontiac 400s). First new car I owned. While it paled in comparison to the GTOs of earlier years with it's 220 horspower, it had the WS6 suspension package and was quite fun to drive. I did bring it to the drags and and managed a 14.9 e.t. That was a full second behind my '69 GTO. I sold the Trans Am and my 69 Z/29 in 1980 to buy my first Bronco.
