What is your take on anti-sway bars. I have been wanting to double trailer with our camp trailer and flat bed. I was told to get a sway bar for the second trailer. Is this really necessary?

I don't use one behind the fifth wheel, but it is tandem axle.

Never a bad idea especially if it's single axle, because if it starts to sway back and forth, it can get real exciting and hard to stop!

agree nothing so fun as trying to stop a vehical that is hooked to wagging tail of a trailer undecided I never want to do that again.

I don't want my stuff scattered accross the freeway.

Stracing~

I have never towed two trailers so can't give opinion on how effective an anti-sway bar would be on the second trailer. I am assuming that you have one on the first trailer behind your pickup.

For a cost of $150 to purchase and install the sway bar on the second trailer I would think that it is cheep insurance in case of a tire blowout or if you have to make a drastic maneuver to miss an object that has fallen from a vehicle in front of you ( been there done that Eek). What the heck if you don't like it you can always sell it,...seems like everybody that pulls trailers needs to have a sway bar.
