I have read some critical remarks about Forest River trailers, and though they are no Airstream I wanted to give my experience about value and luxury. This is my second season with this unit, and have had no major issues. The only problems have been cosmetic, fit and finish. I have taken my power driver and finishing screws and rienforced some of the woodwork inside. This unit comes with a full bathroom, forced air heat, air conditioning, hot water heater,TV and DVD player, and full kitchen. It says it sleeps 6 but really will sleep 4 large adults or two adults and 4 kids. The underside is 11" I beams and is well built. For $13,700 this is a great deal unlees you are expecting a luxury coach, it sure is a big step up from a tent. It hauls around two 500 EFI touring quads and all our gear with my Silvarado 2500, total wieght of trailer and quads is around 7500 lbs.

Nice set up. I have been looking at those same trailers and was wondering how people like them.
I cant see spending 50K+ for a toy hauler wen we have kids (things get broken). I have been looking at the work and play trailers also, very sturdy w/o the foofoo stuff.

Nice Wolf Pack. I wish I could say I was as happy with mine as you are with yours. It has been one problem after anouther with ours. The fridge has died a couple times and the watter heater a couple as well. The furnace has only 1 small duct for the ENTIRE rear of the unit(3 total for the entire unit). It gets a little cool in there at nite when it drops in to the 30s. The furnace has the BTUs but is choked off buy only having 3 small round ducts to blow heat threw. The furnace almost never shuts off at nite while on vacation in Colorado. The AC ducts are to small and on hot summer days the AC cant keep up and it never shuts off. All the tires have blown out but 1(and thats the spare). There have been numerous othre small isues but those are the big ones that come to mind. All this in the first 2 years of ownership. We will probobly use it anouther couple years then look into trading it or selling it.

I'm thinking the same way speeddrive1. I was looking for a no-frill trailer that I could take my grandkids in and not be worried. Never was really happy about storing my stinky quads in where I would be sleeping later, so the outside platform looked good.

Jeez Brandon, that sucks! My living area is only 18' and I have three heater outlets. The air works great in the smaller coach even in the midwest summers. No big problems for me, I'd knock on wood but you got me worried I might break something Wink

My first trailer was a 24ft car hauler we added a shower basin, 30 gal tank, pump, A/C, sleeping on air mattresses and cots with a propane heater to haul and live out of. So I can appreciate about anything over a tent. I can't blame any manufacturer for vendor or supplier defects. I beef up the small stuff, insulate and protect the pumbing etc. FR is a major player they whip out a high volume of units. Like daddy said you get what you pay for... Sometimes, lol. The fancier things get the more headaches...

08 Kawi Brute 750 V Twin Powered Madness. Elkas, Warn, Bighorns..
05 F250 Super Duty FX4, to get it there.
24ft Toy hauler, to bring more friends.
