I am a member on Dodge talk, and this picture sufaced yesterday. Its been confirmed to be the real deal. Some of the member over there had seen the actual trucks first hand at the Dodge Dealer meeting in vegas last month. They have said that this is the real deal.

I think that its one heck of a nice looking truck.

Good to see they have detailed in cargo storage area. Hope they add some siderails in this area to help protect the paint. I get a kick out of the return to dual exhaust pipes. Most of the times it was only aftermarket, now lots are doing it. In ancient times, duals were very prone to rusting out, and it was simpler from a design standpoint to only have to deal with one pipe. Maybe Dodge uses the single pipe to the muffler, then duals out. Don't know yet.

Nice looking truck, although I'm a Chevy man myself. That storage compartment in the rear fender is a good idea. Interior looks fairly user friendly, eerily similar to '07 and up Chev/GMC in alot of ways. Is Dodge still going to use the Cummins, or is there something different in the works? I assume they will also have a 1/2 ton diesel in the works like Ford and GM for '09 or '10?

I agree, the interior was a major well over do upgrade. I just bought an 08 Laramie, and this new one makes me want to trade up right now. I don't even have a 1000 miles on my 08 yet. I really like this new Ram. I can't wait to get one. They even have heated and cooled seats in the 09' a first for a pickup. They also offer a backup camera, those really are nice for hooking up to trailers.

Nice looking truck, thanks for posting cc1999. Heated and Cooled seats, I want those. I have heated in my VW Jetta TDI and love them. I was looking at a 08 CTD 4x4 this past weekend. I looked at the site you posted and am i seeing this right? Are they going to put a 5 link with coil springs in the rear of this thing? If so that would sure make it ride nice but i can only imagine how big those would have to be to carry any weight at all. Are they only going to be on the 1500? Those things must be huge if they were on the 2500 - 3500 as well. Plus they are supposed to have a diesel in the 1500 this next year from what i hear. That would sure be nice. I really like the in bed rail storage. That would really be nice.

The HDs won't be out till the following year, but yes there is a Cummins turbo diesel option on its way for the 1/2 ton in 09'. I am told the diesel will be a late availabilty option.

I found out today that the HD is also going to get its own look to it this time, and not mirror the 1/2 ton. I am not expecting the HD to have coil springs like the 1/2 ton. It might though, at the press conference for the 1/2 ton they were saying how Semi trucks and trailers use coil springs, and several other industial size equipment use them, so they might be able to use coils in the 3/4 ton truck.

I really like the heated and cooled seats, and so many other features that this new 09 is offering. Its more than likely that my 08 that I just got, will get traded in on a 09 this fall.
