Anyone have any experiance towing flat nose and v nose trailers? I've ben told the v nose tows easier and then another guy says there isn't much differance. Is there?
Looking at 16' flat vs v nose.

At low speeds there is not a lot of deferance but at higher speeds 40+ the Vnose cuts the wind better and gives you less drag which I notice some others might not like my brother he says he cant tell the diferance.

I have a 7x12 Wells Cargo RoadForce with a v-nose front on it. Dragging it down the hwy at 80mph I can barely tell its back there.

I bought a used 16' and it happened to have a rounded nose. I guess betther than flat! Seems to tow easy, got around the same mileage as the open trailer did. Sure beats tent camping.

Grats on the new trailer Rick and yes sleeping in a trailer with a roof is so much nicer than a tent or on an open trailer.

I always drag my trailer to go camping. I put my wheeler in it, and all my gear. I think it is nice to have a place to put all your gear and keep it dry. I dont sleep in the trailer though, we setup the tent. I s'pose if it were to rain on us we could jump in it though.

Grats on the new trailer!

i have a 14' v nose, which will hold two sptsmn, with winch's and front bumpers. a 14' flat nose isn't quite big enough for that......stroker

it is important to know what you know, but far more important to know what you don't know......

Aerodynamics aside, I would prefer the V-Nose. You never know when the extra couple of feet will make all the difference.

It depends on a few factor like towing rig etc.. An Excursion or box van will block more wind than a pickup. I have a 24ft rounded and it is okay all boxes suck fuel. Flat may really suck but most are roudned a little. My buddy has a 28ft v nose and other than extra storage room I can't tell a fuel economy or towing difference...
