Does it have to be a Keystone? Tom Schaffers in Shoemakersville, whoops never mind, they sold it.

Can check out the PA Camper Dealers for maybe a used one. There's also the http://www.rvsearch.com/.

Thanks, guys!

Whether astride two wheels or four (wait a minute; how can one be ASTRIDE four wheels?), ATV Quadsquad and its members are with me always, fondly, in my thoughts and consciousness!

Keep 'em rollin'!

TF

Jim~ I seen on the RV Search found 1 your buddy is after, but was in Florida. Beachball

I knew I held onto those links for something. I was searching for slide-ins not too long ago. Every now and again I powerball shop the Class A Toyhaulers. Just a pipe dream I hope turns real.

Cool, Kenny!

Thanks to the link you provided, my partner now has access to all available RV's in which he's interested, nationwide.

I've offered to pick up and deliver any he buys out of state.

ROAD TRIP! ROAD TRIP!

As to dreaming of an RV, that's one thing--the time and opportunity to enjoy one's another. May your dreams come true!

How's she goin' Tree?
Good to hear from you.

Has buddy really set his heart on an Outback? I was researching RV's for a while, and I was intrigued by this one. I followed a bunch of forums and submissions by owners of Outbacks and it wasn't all that good. Not at all.

It seems that the Outback's cool looking slide out main bed is:
-Cold! Lots of owners have tried insulating the underside, both outside the skin and inside under the very thin supplied matterss, with varying degrees of success, usually little.
-Leaky. What more need be said?
-Prone to mechanical failure. The tracking and mechanism is flimsy and breaks down regularly.
-Noisy! That bed, exposed to the outside on five out of six sides of its cube, the thin walled bed pod allows you to hear every sound in a public campground or park, if that's where you are parked. Rain pounds off it like you are under a low slung tin roofed shed.

An Outback with it's thin walled, noisy, cold and flimsy main sleeping area, has all the disadvantages of tenting built into the weight, parking, fuel mileage, and cost issues of a full sized RV! I want to buy this thing... why?

The overall build quality is said to be very poor. More than one owner reported that the wiring sagged down to road level while driving the RV home from the dealership, wearing and ripping it out! Complaints about build quality are many.

I know there are complaints about any consumer product you can research, but this Outback seems to have way more than most RV's. There's even an Outback owners forum where they discuss the pro's and cons of their experiences and even among this group there are a lot of unhappy people.

Not trying to be a Nattering Nabob of Negativity, just sharing what I read about the things.
I wouldn't get an Outback now.
I'd go with a Citation or a Balboa. Smile

But again, good to see you post again Tree Farmer. salute

More than a few journalists and pundits were left scratching their heads at the meaning of some of Spiro Agnew's (Tricky Dick's first V/P) odd alliterations.
