Well we got a few hail storms and I didn't think about my trailer. I looked on top and my vent covers got smashed. Luckily new ones were only 15 bucks a piece locally. The RV store said they sold 300 of them last week.

Bummer dude!!! I now have vent covers over the top of the factory vents. It only took once of leaving the vent open and coming back to the trailer to find out the rain came in and soaked my bed! of course the vent covers I added would also look like swiss cheese in a hail storm like that.

I put the Maxxair's on mine when it was new and it's been through 2 hailstorms. The second did enough damage that I had to have the air conditioner replaced (or rather the insurance did) and the vent covers came through fine. Another benifit is I always have the vents open for ventilation, unless it's too cold outside and never had rain come in. Thumbup

Bought one of these last time I replaced the vent, but I have yet to install it. Maybe this summer though!
