I am working on getting a 1994 Ford Explorer 4x4 to perform a little better and am looking for suggestions on getting a little more power from it. So far, I have added a K&N air filter. What would be my next step while not getting to far from stock.

I ordered one in 91 and as a 4x4 it couldn't get out of it's own way. I put headers and a chip in it. It helped some, but the addition of a supercharger finally gave it the power it lacked. I had that truck two years and I couldn't take it any longer and traded it for 351 powered 92 Bronco.

Since I bought this Explorer for $2000, I wasn't wanting to put much money into it. It is mainly used as a ranch vehicle and to train my 16 year old daughter to drive with. To improve power a tad and maybe even the gas mileage is my goal.
