I went to the shop a couple weeks ago, with the sole purpose of giving it a good cleaning. Bandsaw is right inside the door and laying there by the saw was several chunks of tree limbs. I thought what the heck, I would cut them into call blanks and have a little bit of cleaning done at the same time. Well after cutting the blanks, the drill press was hollering at me that he was next in line, so I drilled the center hole in the blanks. After that I was going to get back to the cleaning, but wouldnt you know the darn lathe started in on me next so was just going to turn one and then clean. Somehow or other the cleaning got put on the back burner and I ended up with these .

Still need to tool the leather for the sleeves and I really do need to clean the darn shop, only problem is I found a hole bunch of wood for blanks stashed in the corner.

Oh trust me hobbles, this has been going on for a long time. I have the hardest time cleaning my shop. It is so small and I have so many tools in it I have to relocate other tools to be able to use the ones behind them. The only ones easy to get to are the bandsaw, drill press & lathe. Oh well it keeps me out of trouble.

Those are sweet looking. Only is I could clean like that. First I would have to get a garage/shop. Then I would have to get the tools. I'll see what the wife has to say about getting all of those things.

I am going to have to do some digging in some of my old pics and see if I can find my messy shop pics. Over on another site, I came close to winning the messy shop contest. To give some idea, the shop is 7' wide X 14' long with a ceiling height of 6'6". It was actually a "cabin" that a CCC guy would have lived in while doing a project not to far from where I live back in the 30's. In this shop I have: 14" floor model bandsaw, 24" x 36" router table, 3' x 6' workbench, 2' x 4' lathe bench, floor model drill press, 6" floor model jointer, Bosch 10" sliding miter saw on a stand. Along with a whole bunch of hand and power tools.

That wasnt to bad, dont remember when I took these pics. My Shop

Looks just fine to me John the only thing that I can see missing is you enjoying the small area and could look like something that I may want to try when the stock market lets me retire. Enjoy

Your wood working is really nice JohnsWoodshop. That shop doesn't look too messy to me. It looks like an effecient space. Smile

Well looking over your shop, I seen you moderated or censored Wink that Calender hanging on the wall. Big Grin j/k

Your Shop looks as congested as my ATV Shed. Need to go outside to change your mind or ponder your thoughts.

Kenny, I didn't pay any attention to the calendar. OOOPS

If I need to use the thickness planner, I have to carry it outside and set it on sawhorses.

I must be getting old. All I noticed was that the walls were not completely painted. Just like my basement walls. Just like growing up as a kid. I read the articles and never looked at the photo's.
