What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate all have in common?

Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1961;

Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn't elected one since 1954;

Cincinnati, OH (3rd)...since 1984;

Cleveland, OH (4th)...since 1989;

Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor;

St. Louis, MO (6th)....since 1949;

El Paso, TX (7th) has never had a Republican mayor;

Milwaukee, WI (8th)...sinc e 1908;

Philadelphia, PA (9th)...since 1952;

Newark, NJ (10th)...since 1907.

Actually, yes I am... However, I saw things coming a long time ago and made some changes in my financial life. But, I also realize I am not in the majority either...

However, that has nothing to do with the Democrats and you know it. The current crisis is all Bush and the rubber stamping Republicans... Even most Republicans will admit that under Clinton our economy was much better off. Heck, most of the current Republican leadership is admitting to mistakes being made, and are atleast not rubber stamping this request by the administration for a bail-out.
You seem to forget our founding principles - that our Government is supposed of the people, not of big business! It is the idiotic statements made my some that have confused this issue. I am not against big business, I am against the unchecked and unregulated greed of big business.
Ask yourself - The heads of these companies You and I are about to bail out paid themselves what last year? Oh' yeah, a 38 million dollar bonus for doing such a good job of screwing us! And now, well guess what... Bush wants to back this with our dollars. Thank God the Republicans are starting to wake up and actually realize how bad they screwed up... Perhaps with some real bipartisanship we can still save our economy.

It is just amazing to me, that even during this crisis people are still supporting this administration, and trying to blame the Democrats! Simply amazing...

Yup, old Johnny boy thinks our economy is just fine, I mean heck, he doesn't even know how many houses he owns, let alone worried about making a mortgage payment... So, sure, everything is just ducky to him...

Hmmmmm,...You have me perplexed,...You seem bright enough and have the ability to articulate a reasonable point of view that is always 180 degrees from my way of thinking ??... I am not saying that my side of the argument/discussion about politics is always correct, but we never see eye to eye on any subject.

You make me think and do a little research to rebut your posted opinions but I don't bother to continue the argument. What I find is that there are always two sides to the story when it is a political subject and the answer always seems clear enough to me, but is usually on the opposite side of your fence. I guess the final basis of opinion and outlook can be filtered down to a Conservative or a Liberal approach to solving a problem.

I have come to believe in my vintage years, that my opinions are now tempered by my long exposure to life's hard knocks and experience and when necessary to make a decision, I draw a line in the sand. I don't always totally agree with all that is on my side of the issue,....but I never agree with anybody on the other side because I guess that they are,....LIBERALS.

A good example is Hannity and Combs on Fox cable news. I am on Hannity's, Newit Gingrich's and Rush Limbaugh's side on most issues but would like to slap that Combs, Nazi Policy and Farry Reed to get their attention, .... I don't think that it would do any good. I think that the cause of it all must be in the water we drank when we were kids.
