Yes; YnotAZ has WON!

Humbly, I concede.

All this time, I've believed--McCain CAN'T be as bad as YnotAZ says.

Can he?

Last night, at the "debate," YnotAZ's point was proven beyond reasonable doubt, to me.

John McCain is going to BUY all the "distressed mortages" in the country!

And, he's going to allow the individual borrowers who signed these mortgages to continue to live in the homes they "purchased," 'til McCain arranges "affordable" mortgages for them (commensurate with the homes' "true value").

Thus, I remain amid those suckers who scrambled to raise a down payment, struggled to pay all the monthly notes, to finally realize the "American Dream" of home ownership, WHO WILL GET NOTHING BUT A TAX BILL TO PAY FOR THE DEADBEAT'S HOUSE DOWN THE STREET!!!!!!!!!

So, YnotAZ; I admit your were right--McCain's pandering for votes just as sure as the Reconstruction carpetbaggers who promised the newly-franchised voters, "40 acres and a mule" for their support.

I must now pay homage to the late George Wallace, who told us, "The difference between the Democratic and the Republican parties is the same as the difference between Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum!" I sadly admit Wallace was right.

Even more sadly, perhaps, I must admit my friend YnotAZ was right, about John McCain.

And here I thought it was only in Canada where the old fairy tale of the ant and the grasshopper was reversed!

Yet here in our neighboring country, once again the ant works hard all summer building his home while the grasshopper parties on, secure in the knowledge that when it gets cold, the government will simply bill the ant for the cost of a nice cosy palace for the 'disadvantaged' grasshopper.

Sadly, in this case, I wish I were wrong.

I would rather concede defeat than have a lesser of two evils that is only head and shoulders above the other guy simply because the other guy is so bad he is beyond comparison...

Treefarmer, my friend, thank you, but it is a very hollow victory...

Perhaps this will cheer you up, it did for me, be patient, you have to put up with a short commercial to see the video NBC originally took down.

I'm one of those that fell into the to good to be true load deal now he wants you to pay for my mistake. To late I already did. And I'm not ready to pay for some other smuck who fell for it like I did. then he kept going back to the past and didn't really answer any question directly. Mc Lame lost my vote last night. But I still don't trust Obomber so I'm back to writing in "Cob" I figure he must be out on the campain trail somewhere because he isn't here.

I recognize I'm relatively new to this whole voting thing what with making my first legal vote in 1992. But I do feel I am pretty dang good at patterning "people". Something I picked up on right away with politicians is this. It is what they don't say that should worry people. Normally what they do actually say is nothing more than lip service. With the case of a president one should remember that they can't simply say that "The government is now going to do "insert action here". The president is held the checks and balances process of government to prevent them from ruling like a king. It still takes the House and Senate to pass these bills. It's like blaming the neighbor for asking $50 grand too much for his house. But if it sells for that price is it your neighbors fault or the person who paid that high price? I find more fault with the people that allow these stupid actions to take place than the actual author.

Again I feel it is far more important to pay attention to most things NOT spoken by these schmucks. Who cares how many hypothetical numbers they toss out when referring to a hypothetical plan the opponent has? None of it means squat. Presidential candidates have been promising energy reform for so long it has become mere background noise. If it sounds too good to be true it will not happen. If it sounds to ludicrous to be real rest assured the liberals will push hard to get it to pass. Certainly McCain needs a good swift kick in the rump for suggesting such a stupid idea. But again I'd have to blame the nutjobs that allow it to pass more than the guy that made the suggestion.

I was disappointed in the debate last night. It was boring! Many important issues were not covered - i.e. Immigration. Tom Brokaw didn't do a good job of even reading the questions. In my opinion, neither candidate did very well.

This is one election that I really do not want to vote for either candidate.

Absolutely not! Hussien B.O. is all for taking away American Citizens right to bear arms, also known as the Second Amendment. Should that process begin and be allowed to continue it matters little what else happens as government can run a muck with no worry of citizen intervention. I know, I know. It'll never happen. (Note the sarcasm and understand it has happened in lot of other countries in very recent history!)

The debate last night was a joke. Of course major media outlets are already claiming Hussien B.O. was the winner. Based on what I have no idea. The format and rules appeared to be of little to concern to anyone with the exception to the one time J.M. stopped talking before his time was up. It seemed to me the audience members read questions they drew from a barrel prior to the start of the debate. None seemed like they asked their own questions. Probably the most disturbing part to me though was when some fat pundit said, after the debate, the McCain should stay behind a podium because of how ridiculous he looks out walking around! How dare that DS (short hand for Dumb Shi*) make fun of the way an injured war veteran and POW looks! That really got under my skin.

The winners of this debate? Anyone who had a TV show with higher than average ratings due to people turning the channel. The losers? Those of us too lazy or stupid to turn the channel.

I watched most of the debate but had to take a break now and then it was so boring.

The audience looked half dead and programed. Where were the questions about the candidates stand on the Second Amendment or immigration? Where were questions about Obama and his association with the terrorist B. Ayres or all of the other shady things in his background. The whole thing looked very staged.

I was in shock when I heard McCain say he would bail out the "distressed mortgages". I think we are in deep trouble in this country! I hope the next debate will answer some of my questions but that is probably wishful thinking on my part. I know I will hold my nose and vote for McCain but a little transparancy in regards to who will be our next president would be refreshing.
