I need some CATV help... I know enough to be dangerous!

Here's the problem. I have digital cable. That carries along an analog signal also. Wherever I put a Cable Box I get HDTV, that all works. Where I have a plain old TV I get 102 channels of analog TV. That all works

Now here is what I'm trying to do. I have a security system with multiple cameras. It has a video out. I put that through a video modulator. I adjusted the modulator to a vacant CATV channel in hopes of making the video feed available on every TV in the house, except the digital HDTV.

When I plugged in a combiner, it filtered out the digital signal and left only the analog. I tried a couple other combiners and got the same results. Anybody understand what I need to do?

Get a Big German Shepard and feed him raw meat and gun powder,...that will be all the security system that you need as he will not be watching the TV when the bad guys break in.
