Well, since my first post was actually in a different thread I figured I should stop being rude and introduce myself.

I am fairly new to the quading world, bought an SP450 last September. As of yesterday, I have 887 miles and I loving each and every one! I have ridden bikes, and 3-wheelers off & on since I was 14, but not seriously, just for fun.
I have been to several riding areas throughout the PNW, Shotgun, Huckleberry, Morrow County, Florence, Coos Bay, and I think they are all great!
I live in SE Washington (Waitsburg) at the foot of the Blue Mountains and go riding up there as often as I can. In fact, just got back from a weekend of riding, Tucannon up to Skyline and trails inbetween. Heading up to Morrow County ORV on Thursday night for a 5 day weekend! Got to check out the new acreage.
Good to meet you all and looking forward to getting to know some of you.

Fred (WHS)

welcome to the site WHS. How is the Tucannon coming after the big fire? Did they restrict the riding up there or has it been opened back up. I spent a few years on the Palouse and actually watched that fire erupt from the town of Palouse. Always wanted to get down there and fish those ponds and the river itself but never made it. Again, welcome and hope you enjoy the ride.

Thanks! Actually it never got closed... And we were camping there that same year. They have been rebuilding, and most of the campsites will eventually be pretty nice, but for now they are pretty spar of vegetation... If you want to ride, you have get past the Pan-Jab, or head up Skyline, then it's all open.
I was actually above the Tucannon, at Godman, when the fire started and believe me, I boogied out there when I started to see flames! But, it was still miles off... But that fire flared up fast. The tragic news is my buddy was camped at Wooten when it started, and the FS responded quickly, however they would not go in until the power was shut down... And they just watched it spread until it hit the timber, and then it was POOF! Campfire'

Are you still up in Viking country?
