Howdy!

Just bought my first ATV. I've ridden several times before with friends and decided (after prompting by a 5 year drout) to sell my boat and buy and ATV. Found a good used 2004 Polaris Sportsman 400 4x4. Will be used to play and camp during the summer and bird hunting during the winter (dove, quail, pheasant).

Learned a lot so far. So far I've checked everything out, changed the plug, cleaned up the air filter, greased it up, and cleaned it off.

Planning to take it camping this weekend and next weekend.

welcome to the quadsquad. Most of us started where you are, some started back on dirtbikes, 3 wheelers or the first fourwheelers. Everybody's got things to learn on their first quad and to a degree whenever they upgrade, so just jump in and ask questions. There's a ton of experience and even more opinions here. rol

welcome to the site Jolly_Green_Giant! Start off slowly and it will lead to many years enjoyment. Also, always wear the helmet so when that first little accident happens, it wont be you last one!
